Thanks for the feedback so far. Keep it coming.

This is intended for offline play moreso than OTP and online versus games. When it comes to the Defensive AI on both the user side and the CPU, what are some things it does wrong that it needs to work better on? Same thing can be done for offensive AI.

A lot, the CPU AI in OTP games is beyond pathetic. Defenseman are so weak and soft that you get more grit and determination from a dead plant, honestly they are just terrible. Make a hit, poke your stick, do something, they just let the player walk in every time.

As for offense, lets see, they back off to the blue line even if your cycling, even on full out 3-2. PLAY OFFENSE, WE HAVE DEFENSEMAN FOR A REASON YOU NUMB NUTS.

Everything about the CPU is broken and I hate playing OTP games with CPU players.

Of note this is more aimed towards offline play. I should have stated that in the post. When it comes to OTP. The CPU AI is meant to be terrible for the most part to encourage full teams. So don't expect for that to change much in the future.

Thats true, but than you also get the computers that snipe from their knees from the circle. lol

Anyway the way it is set-up is pretty darn good, much less glitch like goals
compared to last year

Yeah, on the 360. I did care about my goalie stats, but me and my friend just finished having a goalie battle (him and me goalies) and the final score was 11-8 his team haha. So I don't really care hehe. I think I am like -64 now and he is -80. LOL

I got like 1.08 PPG, but because me +/- is so bad I have a C+, sucks.

My gamertag is x JPeeper x by the way.

I think at times the defensive AI is too smart because of that speed burst.

In real life there is blown defensive coverages, you never see that here.

But what makes it worse is that on the offensive side, the players play positionally they never try to exploit gaps.

I read on another forum that all the problems in Be a GM mode and the other bugs have been fixed.

Bouwmeester, Stajan, 2011 First, 2011 3rd for Stamkos and Hedman

Bourque, Kipper, 2012 First, 2011 fourth for Crosby and Fleury

To be fair, ingame Bourque isn't that bad. Actually, he gets 30 goals plus on a line of Bourque/Jokinen/Iginla. Though...it still is a complete steal.

I traded Bouwmeester and a 3rd for Doughty. Signed Kovalchuk and flipped him and a 4th for Crosby.

It would have been better if they made the game more realistic for player trade availability. They should have made it so a player like Crosby won't be traded to you no matter what you offer, that is realistic.

Signing Kovalchuk is definitely a good trade piece.

in my 3rd season I traded Eberle and a 7th for Crosby straight up.

My offline team is ######ed though, just by trades and signings I have the best performance/$ you can get in the game.

hedman and hall are both 93OV with B A- B, and A A A- for potentials respectively. half of the team is pretty close.

Funny thing I found was Ryan Howse is drafted 13th overall in 2012 on my game, and he comes out with awesome stats/pot.

I've had an issue with the amount of time and # of button presses it takes to start a game. Last night I finally became annoyed enough to count. 17 button presses to play a single game of GM Mode. 17! To top it off, the reason I was annoyed last night? It takes 17 button presses (many needless) to get into a game, but if you accidentally slip-up and hit "sim" instead of "play game" there's no confirmation message (such as a "are you sure?" message).

Love the game ... it's why I'm so hard on it. I've just always hated how EA organizes the menus.

So ea finally updated the ahl rosters. So now playing be a GM is a little more realistic.

I used PetrPucks roster guide back in November.

Which would be very useful if I didn't stop playing the game a week later.

be a gm mode is perma-broken in my eyes until the sim engine is better or rosters are more spread out in terms of "overalls"
