Yep the article from TSN is now updated, which is good news.

Morrow signed 1 year, 2.3 mil according to @gregormlb. Looks good to me, now we wait and see what happen with Jose.

He might have been better in the last quarter of the season - I didn't watch too many Jays games due to Sportsnet One popping up.

But Cito was awful at managing the bullpen. It's odd though - he has a completely modern style of managing the bullpen where everything revolves around getting guys a save, but he hasn't managed in baseball since the mid-90s. Things weren't like they were in the 70's and prior then, but the save wasn't nearly as popular as it is now. I guess it makes sense with his ridiculous "John Buck has to hit 20 home runs" managing while Arencibia sits on the bench.

I'm really hoping Eric Chavez isn't signed. He hasn't done anything since 2007 and even then he was nothing special. Bautista at third and start Davis/Snider in the corner OF spots would be ideal IMO.

I have not seen anything more on Eric Chavez for awhile now. However I would rather see Bautista play Right Field, and see the Jays acquire a 3rd Baseman.

I believe the Jays stated they were trying to find a 3rd Baseman but the challenge is can they find one that will work for the Jays. The fall back position is Bautista at 3rd .

I'd Ike to see Chavez, after seeing Rolen come back from his career threatening injury he was a bright spot of the season for me.

Only as a 3B though, I don't want a non-asset at DH in addition to E10.

If Bautista plays right field, who would you sit? Snider? Davis? maybe a platoon of the two in left? If Davis doesn't start, don't you have to play Lopez at third? he's the only other guy on the roster that is even close to being a leadoff hitter. Escobar is much better suited to hit in the two hole.

So many questions...

Yep all valid questions, however I do recall AA state he would like to acquire a 3rd Baseman, as for Davis / Snider it would be a platoon situation...

Who is Lopez? I know DJF has been making a pitch for the Jays to sign Felipe Lopez, but as far as I know it hasn't been done.

One hour autograph session? They must not be expecting very many people.

It was packed. Showed up at 12:20 and didn't get to meet the players.

Cut it off shortly after 1 because they had to go catch their flight. As a consolation, they had signed a bunch of cards in advance to give to the stragglers.

edit: oh and everyone got a toque for the "winter tour"

I talked to an organizer there and they only expected 60-70 people to show up.

Great to hear it was packed then! Leading up to the event it would've been tough to have gotten a real accurate estimation anyways.

Would have loved to have gone. Great job by the jays for doing this cross Canada thing...they really have an opportunity to brand themselves as canadas team and rightly so. They have a fresh approach these days and I am liking it. Will create for great atmosphere everywhere when they do make the playoffs in the coming years.

Had a couple of my grade 7 students leave for a few hours yesterday so they could try to get an autograph. Both ended up getting Jesse Litsch to sign their Blue Jays jerseys. A great experience for 2 young boys who love playing baseball.

Already looking forward to the April Seattle series! Excited for the season, if they can pick up a decent 3B I think they'll be really competitive (praying it's not Edwin everyday).
