Can't you just call Android by its name? You don't see us Android people constantly referring to the iPhone or iPad by some other names as an attempt to deride them. It reminds me of the people who always say "lamestream media" or "Democraps" as their juvenile means of not taking someone seriously.

Maybe he didn't mean it as a way to 'deride' them? Perhaps it was just a playful nickname. Calm down.

Hey guys. Pulled the trigger on an iPhone 4 today. Is there anything special I need to do to transfer all my stuff off of my 3Gs? Do I just need to back up the 3GS and do a restore onto the 4. I don't want to screw it up and have to re-install all of my apps and contacts. I know the transition from my 3G to 3GS was pretty simple, is it just as easy on the 4? Thanks in advance.

Wondering if this is a Telus or iPhone issue? I have been recieiving texts fine but I have not been able to send texts. What I mean is my Iphone shows the message was sent but I know 2 people I have texted (1 Rogers, 1 Bell) never did recieve my messages. Is this a Telus or Phone issue?

Did you transfer your number over to a new carrier?
I went from Telus to Rogers, and Telus had my number in their system still, I was unable to send text messages until Telus removed my number entirely from their system.

Yesterday afternoon my brother wasn't receiving my messages. Today he was getting them just fine.
If it was yesterday possibly just a minor Telus SMS interruption?

Ok, super noob question. But why are my notes and calendar transferring between my iPad and iPhone 4 automatically? I do not have a paid mobile me account, just the find my phone feature, and I thought that was required to push the notes to the cloud and between the devices. I do however, have gmail on both devices, and have the checkboxes for the sharing notes contacts etc, all checked off. I get that if you use the gmail calendar and notes, it will push this info, but when I enter it using the standard apple icons preinstalled on the devices it is still pushing this info, even if I am at the other end of the city. If this is the case, what is the point of mobile me? Or have I some how been signed up for me without my consent? Or is it maybe sharing this info over the wifi at work and home.... I confuse.

You're probably right, but it's a slight continuing troll that (knowing Fanin80 preference for everything Apple) is annoying.
Hell, for a stretch you went around fixing the way iPhone was typed.

I still cringe when I hear the term 'iTouch'. It is my cross to bear.

It was working for me last night when I was texting with the gf so hopefully it was Telus issue and has since been resolved.

That's weird. I use gmail and only push parts of the accounts to my phone. There might be a setting somewhere in gmail accounts that lets you block any calendar pushing. Only other thing I can think of is it's not actually pushing just transferring when you sync your phone with iTunes, but you sound pretty sure of what's going on.

Microsoft OneNote is now available in the american store. Free for a limited time.
I hope there is one in the Mac App Store soon...one of the few MS applications I really love. Apparently it's been in development for 18+ months so there has to be more in the pipeline.

I saw this earlier this morning. No frickin clue what makes this app so "American" that it can't be released in Canada. Oh well. I just nabbed it with my US account since it's free.
