Stars and Flyers hook up in 8 player deal

Nick Petrecki

Dallas sends the cap to balance.

For Dallas the deal was about getting younger and cheaper with the key peices being Neal, Josefson and Petrecki. The other players came together to help balance salary and positional needs.

Franzen never really fit in Dallas for whatever reason and we wish him luck with the Flyers. Timonen will certainly be missed in Dallas and has been playing excellent of late but a player of his age, rating and salary just didn't make sense for a team in last place in the west.

Ward -> Cooke, 1 overall upgrade but Cooke is an a-hole
Eaton -> Timmonen, the key to this deal for me
