Honestly I don't think it came down to that. Ryan didn't have to outcoach Belichek. Look at their lineups the Jets are better at almost every position except QB (which Brady is >>>>>> Sanchez) and maybe DL although Shaun Ellis was a beast today. Ryan's problem in the last matchup is the same problem he had with Manning last year in that he couldn't get out of the Blitz all the time mentality. He did a good job letting his players' talent shine today.
The fake punt, the horrible clock management, the loss challenge in the 1st quarter and no half time adjustments that came even close to working. It may not have come down to that, but Rex Ryan certainly should be applauded for outcoaching him like that in Foxboro.
Ha ha, I would take 4 kicks to nuts over a Bears-Jets superbowls.
I always knew I was in the minority when it came to cheering for Chicago, but I never understood some of the hate that surrounds the Bears. Is it the lack of offense? Or Cutler? Or just one of those teams nobody cares for?

I can only speak for myself, but Cutler is part of it, but the Packers-Bears rivalry is the biggest factor..
The bears are Very overrated. The pack should chew them up and spit them out.....better all around defence and way better offence. Pack win by 10.
I fail to see how they're over rated at all. If anything they are under rated still, as despite winning the NFC they were still under dogs the entire season. While I think the Packers will beat the Bears, I fail to see how they will 'chew them up and spit them out' when they split their season series and the game they lost was only 10-3 IN Lambeau. GB's offence is much better, but to say their defence is better is ballsy, as they are very close and I would still say that the Bears' is better all around. Their LB core is just not close talent wise and their secondary and dline are very compareable.

It all depends on which Cutler shows up. I see the pack winning but it wouldn't be a shocker if the Bears win.

I think the majority of people like Green Bay. They're the little city with tradition etc... Green Bay are alot of people's 2nd favourite team.
So with the Bears being the Packers natural enemy, they just become everyone's least favourite team.

Otherwise, if someone asks "what's your team" and I reply Bears you tend to get the same look that says 'really... Are you sure?'
I always attributed it to the lack of offense, but was curious as to if there was another reason.
I get the same reaction when I tell people I'm a Buccaneers fan. I assume people think its strange because it is kind of an obscure market for someone who grew up in Calgary to be attached to. And I think that is a part of what made me want to become more knowledgeable of the team, because it seemed that nobody around me knew anything of them. I've kind of relished the spotlight of being one of very few Bucs fans I know, I've gone to Tampa to watch them play twice, and I've never known a time more exciting to be a fan of the team then right now with the young talent we have.
I know quite a few Bears fans, and I don't think it is a strange team to follow, although I can understand why people wouldn't enjoy the defensive oriented style they play. That would be my guess as to why people look at you funny.

I gave them their props earlier in thread today. They lived up to their hype this week. If that defense shows up next week, they should win with even average play from Sanchez. I actually think they have a good shot at winning next week because they match up very well with Pittsburgh.
This is why his players love him and others want to play for him. After making it all about him vs. Belichek to take the pressure off his players last week, he goes out and gives all the credit to his players and asst. coaches:
"I was dead wrong," Ryan said. "I thought it would come down to me and Belichick. Thank goodness it didn't. He won that battle like he always does. It came down to the players and assistant coaches and we won that battle."

Based on what?
GB gave up fewer yards, fewer points, had way more sacks, more INT's, and played a much tougher schedule. All this with 4LB's, 3 Safeties, 2 DE's and a CB on IR. In their last 6 games they have given up 91 points, or 15 points per game. 4 of those games against playoff teams.
The defense is what carried the Packers this year and is something most of the media simply doesn't grasp. No question Rodgers and company have started to really roll on the other side of the ball and that's what they all concentrate on, but that Packer D is a beast of late as well....and has been most of the year. Dom Capers has them firing on all cylinders...the man is a genius.
If this game was back in Lambeau I have no doubt the Packers would win going away. But because its in Chicago and it being a division rival, it will be agonizingly close. Probably a FG either way and the early line is the Packers -3. GB should have won the game in Soldier Field back in September but self-destructed and were flagged for 18 penalties. It was absurd.
