Just heard that Liverpool have made enquiries into acquiring Robert Huth.

I dont think I have a more loathed player. If they need someone who can give away penalties I'm sure theres still someone better.

Proud of the lads today. They showed more heart than at any time this season.

It was always going to be tough with our Manc Webb reffing this one. It took one minute to see his influence. What a dive that was.se

Gerrard's red? Didn't see it tbh. Reds fans are divided but asking why Raphael didnt get anything for similar just before.

Encouraging to see all things considered.

haha

Ryan Babel tweeted this

and is going to get in trouble, I think its hilarious

Quote:
LONDON (AP)—The Football Association will open an investigation after Liverpool winger Ryan Babel posted a digitally altered picture on Twitter of referee Howard Webb wearing a Manchester United shirt.

Webb awarded a penalty against Liverpool and later sent off its captain Steven Gerrard as Man United won 1-0 in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Liverpool's Steven Gerrard…
AP - Jan 9, 9:18 am EST
1 of 2World Soccer Gallery
Before linking to the image of Webb, Babel wrote on Twitter: “And they call him one of the best referees. That’s a joke.”

The FA told The Associated Press that “we will definitely look into this matter.”

United winger Ryan Giggs scored from the spot in the second minute after Daniel Agger had fouled Dimitar Berbatov.

Gerrard was dismissed for a challenge on Michael Carrick in the 32nd.

That was a brutal dive by Berbatov and a Red for that? You've got to be kidding me! What a brutal game.

*New* manager, same result, same whining from Jagger. Love it! Are you angry about the time added on as well?

Weak penalty, deserved red, BTW.

"You're getting sacked in the morning!"

Great job by some idiots tossing seats out of the stands, trashing the toilets, and chanting about Munich too.

Vastly different manager actually and much better performance overall. Players were even playing in their correct positions. Youngsters were given a go. Not gutted at all about the result in actual fact. Sorry. Never like losing to your lot especially to, as you put it, a weak penalty though. They deserved a draw but there you go.

The red was correct, you're right. No disputing that from me. Gerrard was stupid to jump in like that, especially when he knows Webb is the ref. Come on, don't give him a reason.

I was thrilled to see Kenny behind the bench. So happy that he's back.

Singing about Munich is about as out of order as they come. Hard to believe that any Liverpool fan, after Hillsborough, would stoop so low. No excuses and I think you'd find that most true Reds would be completely against this too. Smashing washrooms etc. Well, that's ludicrous and juvenile. Pathetic people really.

Ah well life goes on. I may whine a little, especially where the Mancs are involved (it's built in) but overall I'm a pretty happy camper today. The person I idolized in my early years is the manager again and I'm confident we will see improvement from now on. Good day.

I'll even wish your lot good luck in the next round**. How's that for feeling ok about everything?

**Not that you really need anymore luck! (Come on, I had to throw that in. You know I did.) Keep smiling united....

Might not have had the result with that game, but it sure was refreshing to watch. It was awesome to see Kenny on the sideline, and the new formation looked great. I still can't believe that penalty was called, especially after 30 seconds.

I thought things were looking pretty good until Gerrard was sent off though. That first 30 minutes has given me some optimism that Liverpool will have some success before the season is out.

Also, what happens with Johnson coming back? Kelly looked pretty solid stepping in today.

Weak penalty, so you're admitting that Webb gifted you the win, United cant win without the ref's help, they couldnt even score in open play against a 10 man Liverpool. You're right, it is the same old thing all over again isnt it?

Johnson has a lot to prove, he almost single-handedly lost the game against Blackburn. I think he'll have to prove to Kenny that he deserves another chance.

Saves on cleaning and they'll always have new and updated facilities. Its really a practical matter of hygienic logistics rather than any form of malice.
