Default Road Conditions

Good place to see where the City plows/sanders are and what they've finished.

The City of Calgary: Road Conditions

Looks like they have lots of live traffic cameras too.

Heres my road report this morning,

Snowy conditions with a high probability of morons who can't drive faster than 30.

Everyday, I roll out of bed and joyfully get ready for my 1.4 km walk to work. No cars, no ice.

Stoney Trail East and Highway 2 North were clear and dry this morning. Stoney Trail was also in great shape yesterday, much to my surprise. I haven't seen any accidents and maybe 2 cars in the ditch during my commute the last couple of days. And maybe an extra 10 minutes on my drive.

Forget road conditions, how about some goddamn sidewalk conditions? I walk to work and I swear there are about 2 houses on my way to work that havent shoveled their goddamn sidewalks once this whole winter. Its unreal.

Not in front, not up to their house, nothing. Hell, half the time they park their stupidly huge pickup truck on the sidewalk.

I dont think that sidewalk is for what you think its for.

Listen, you want to be a homeowner, shovel your damn walk.

I drove that at six this morning. The road wasn't even bad. How is that possible?

No idea.

The roads were clean and in really good condition yet between 7:30 and 8:00 the commute from Chestermere was just terrible with those three accidents slowing everything down.

Took an hour and half for what is usually a 25/30 minute drive.

Call 311. I'm sure if they don't want to shovel their walk, they won't mind paying the City to do it for them.

The worst thing i see are the people who drive vehicles that have rear window wipers... and they have failed to both turn on their rear defrost, as well as failed to manage flicking a switch... Seriously how do people drive without seeing behind them?

You do know that some cars have mirrors on the side that are angled so that people can see behind right?

You still can't see directly behind you, thus the reason for every single car having a rearview mirror.
