For those who don't need premium, don't use it. Waste of money. For those who do, I'm not sure if they all do it, but if you have a Centex nearby, they usually only have premium at 6c/l over regular, rather than 10, and wednesdays, saturdays and sundays, they offer an additional 3c off I think it is per litre on all gas. So there you go.

So this brings up a question i debate all the time.... Shell offers 10 x the airmiles or some sort of bonus for using v power. Are these extra air miles worth the extra 10 cents or so?

Don't you have to make a purchase inside the store to get the 10x bonus? (I think it's spend $10?)

Well of course, if you're going to use it in THE Mustang, as opposed to any of the other Mustangs. Also, Mustangs blow. A turbocharged Jetta would even cream you.

putting premium in the Wrangler is like giving a lumberjack Dom Perignon... she runs on testosterone and pure man-musk

Pfft... that's nothing. I've seen a 2.0L Naturally Aspirated Mazda 3 beat a 05 Mustang.

hahahaha, car guys.
pylon, can you jump on the Hayabusa and go wheelie by some Mustangs while taking pictures of it? Make sure you use premium, the detonating 'Busa is too awesome for humans.

In my 79 Ford pickup I use premium and Octane booster so that I get an extra 50-75 horsepower right at the pumps! That way I can always beat the occasional Elantra or Gremlin as I zip around doing 180 on the highways. This whole post is a lie.

RE: Centex gas
I used to have this awesome POS beater monte carlo. Whenever I filled up at Centex, the car ran like crap. Regular gas from any normal gas station was fine, but regular gas from Centex had the thing sputtering. I always wondered if they somehow cut their gas. Is that even possible?

If you live in the North go to Costco, regular and premium gas is discounted at close to $.09/L. I know some people have issues with mileage using Costco gas, but I haven't noticed anything significant between Costco and Esso or Shell
Premium yesterday was $1.02/L, and I think regular was at $.94/L

man, if this 'STANG (which i hope you refer to it as) is that multi color shiny, looks purple and blue and green all at the same time, then i can see no reason why you would ever be embarrassed to drive it.
and by drive it, i mean RIP around varsity with def leopard blasting with a 'stang hat on and a sleeveless t-shirt, obviously.
oh and it BETTER be automatic.

I fill up at the Cross Iron Mills location if I'm in the area. I don't notice any changes in gas mileage there or Superstore, which is my backup. Use the coupons for grocery. Win-win.

Centex is crap. I would never recommend it to everyone. It must be the cheapest possible gas they can find, from the oldest refinery in the world or something.
