A smackdown on radio against the famous Australian lady directly responsible for a town in Australia having some of the lowest rates of vaccinations in the western world.
I didn't like that smackdown. It bothers me the DJ or whatever just kind of shouted her down then cut her off. That seems more like a right-wing strategy to me that I despise. It probably would have been better to just not have her on at all.

It sounded like Dorey had been on the show many times before, and the interviewer just finally had enough.

Yeah that was my impression, too. But I think that kind of response adds fuel to the anti-vaccine whack jobs' fire more than anything. Dorey came off sounding like the calm rational one which is scary lol.

No I dont think she did. It sounded like she was given every opportunity to admit she was BSing or falling for the BS and wouldnt admit it. When the DJ had enough of her lies she called her out for it...which we dont get often enough. People like Dorey are spreading fear and helping to kill children...

You're never going to get somebody like that to admit they're a liar/fraud/mistaken. I would much rather have heard a Photon-style dissection of her points versus the shout down/cut-off combo that we saw here. I'm not defending Dorey, but that DJ did nothing to help the pro-vaccine cause. It was embarrassing, actually.

But you see she's been on this show in the past, and debated thoroughly. However its obvious she will not debate, only deflect and move goal posts when she's cornered with facts.
This woman deserves that treatment all the time, it just took this radio host a number of previous interviews to finally be fed up with her.
Instead of immediately jumping on this wagon you could also include the size of a two month old and the volumes used. But why do that when you can just try to ignore it!

Why can't the volume be corrected for the size of ones body...
What relevance is a chemisty profs thoughts on this? Millions if not billions have received those doses, they are formulated for infants. Why do people use nonsense statistics when discussing this issue?

You could just read the actual thread, page 3:
Quote:
Gerber and Offit reviewed 13 large-scale studies that demonstrated no association between the MMR vaccine and autism. These included ecologic studies, retrospective observational studies and prospective observational studies. The findings were consistent; the only outlier in all the studies of MMR was Dr. Andrew Wakefield’s small, discredited 1998 study, which was fully retracted by The Lancet in early 2010.
They reviewed 7 large-scale studies (again, ecologic, retrospective, and prospective) that consistently demonstrated no association between thimerosal and autism. They showed that the hypothesis was not biologically plausible, since the symptoms of mercury poisoning are distinct from those of autism and are not produced by the thimerosal in vaccines.
They showed that the overload hypothesis is not credible because
The immunologic load has dropped from 3000 components in the 7 vaccines used in 1980 to less than 200 in the 14 vaccines recommended today.
An infant’s immune system is capable of handling the thousands of antigens it is exposed to early in life.
Vaccinated children are not more susceptible to infections.
Autism is not an autoimmune disease.
See even though there are more shots, its vastly less in terms of load on the vaccinated.

Wow... This is a logical argument that I brought. It has to due with moderation and th3e understanding that a child does not need an adult dose. But go ahead and give you child 4 extra strength tablets for a headache. Because the volume really does not matter, it's nonsense!
