Default Calgary Motorcycle Show (Jan 7th-9th)

http://www.calgarymotorcycleshow.ca/

Show is this weekend (I can't believe there isn't a thread.....) and thought I should get the word out.

Anyone else going?

I'm really hoping swing a deal on some Givi luggage, and pretty pumped to see the vintage bikes. And with all the the tourism-related booths, hopefully inspiration will strike. I want to take a long tour this summer, but can't decide where!

If you're looking for a good road trip I would suggest riding down to Montery (Laguna Seca) for the MotoGP US Grad Prix.

A few friends and I did it two years in a row, and the ride down the coast, plus the bike race is a heck of a fun trip.

I'll be there Saturday... don't have a bike... but I'm helping a friend out with his booth.

Drop by and check it out.

BTW: I also get a free ticket. Drop me a PM if interested.

Just bumping this thread.

The show was exceptional today, and there was a terrific variety of booths! Every major manufacturer showed up, complete with (my guess) around 400 bikes to drool over and sit on (after wiping the drool, of course).

With the uber-crappy weather this weekend, the show was an awesome way to spend a few hours.

Put 3000km on one in Tassie over Christmas. Good choice. Real comfortable, just an all-around nice ride. The beemer turn signal switchgear takes some getting used to.

How was the Ducati selection this year? As much as I respect the japanese stuff, it's the Ducati booth that really grabs my attention down there.
