Well, this is another in my series of 'gamble' trades though I honestly think the risk is fairly low here. I think some people may rake me over the coals on this trade but I am comfortable with it! Thank you Drew for the talks yesterday and your flexibility with this deal.

to Devils:

Sheldon Souray
3.95M cap this year
3.5M cap next year
NYR 4th 2011

to Bolts:

John Madden (currently injured)
John Mitchell (salary dump)

I am happy with the series of events that turned Redden into Souray into Madden and Mitchell.

I was looking at having to possibly buy Redden out.

Unfortunatley, I do bite the bullet a bit next season paying about 40% of Souray's Salary.
