Default Custom Closets

I have a walk in closet and am looking at upgrading from the crappy wire shelving to something a little more custom that will hopefully give my wife and I more space and functionality. Does anyone have any recommendations of who to use or perhaps who to stay away from? Any suggestions are appreciated... well not entirely. Helpful suggestions, yes, gay closet jokes, no

The new goggles also do nothing.

Me three. Who builds a nice walk in and then puts wire shelves in?! A reasonably priced wood alternative for some class is what I'm after.

I did find home depot carries stock kits that look pretty nice but I am not sure if it is worth the price or how adaptable they are:

Home Solutions did our custom closet work in our new house and did a great job.

my wife and i were recently in vancouver and were in ikea

**disclaimer... i'm soooo not a fan of ikea's stuff... great if you're just starting off, but i don't find the quality all that good - anyways....

they did have some really cool closet stuff - great for getting ideas (like i said - not a fan of their quality). i'm more of a do it yourself guy when it comes to home reno's so i'm always looking for ideas for how i can improve/modify my place.

We used Calgary Custom Closets - totally satisfied with the experience and product. I had to deal with a weird little walk-in and the consultant that visited did a thorough job of design and configuration. The install was painless too.

We also had California Closets come over for a consultation as well prior to CCC. A terrible experience which made us look for another company.

So what how much does this set people back if you don't mind me asking? I know people have different sized closets and different styles, etc. but I really have no idea of the starting point.

What's the price for a small sized walk in, roughly?

I can't remember the price ... sorry. But you can go to Home Solutions with your house plan or a scale drawing of your closet and they will go over all the options with you. They can put a surprising amount of stuff in a closet and there are alot of options. If you have the space, put in a bank or two of drawers ... saves alot of room in your bedroom if you don't need a dresser or chest of drawers.
