I'm glad the Ravens don't have to play the Colts in the first round. That being said, the Chiefs at home will not be a cakewalk by any means.

Love the idea of knocking Rex Ryan out of the playoffs another season. Colts found a way to win out and win the AFC South after that brutal Cowboys game at home.

Phew, glad we're playing the Jets and not the Ravens. The Ravens are the team I'm worried about most to be honest, they just have so many weapons all over the field.

I really hope todays performance sums up 3 things in Miami

1) Find a non robotic quarterback
2) Fire Sparano
3) OC Henning better retire or be fired.

Not even including this blowout. What an embarrasment this team was at home this year, 1-7 at home seriously.

Not surprising if this one turns out to be a dud. Only in an NFC West showdown would they bother to show punting hi-lights.

What an emotional game the Packers put me through....yikes. Ugly win for sure, but that Bear defense is insanely good...only thing is the Packers D was better as was the offense when crunch time came. Kept Hester from being a non-factor and Dom Capers schemes are as good as exist in the NFL. Thing of beauty if you are a D fan. Gave up the 2nd fewest pts in the entire NFL this season...and that was without many starters for much of the year. What a job they did.

Re-match with the Eagles next Sunday afternoon....and being GB won the first one it makes it that much harder. Though I fully expect they are a whole lot better against the Philly D than they were today, but the Philly offense is in another stratosphere compared to the Bears so that will be a wash as well.

Win or lose aginst the Eagles...couldnt be happier about the Packers with all the adversity they have had this year, and won when they had to the last couple weeks to get in. That will go a long way to success either this year or down the road.

The Pats really had a great year led by Brady. Its obvious there is no better coach than BB as he worked his miracle with a significant number of rookies in the lineup.
Belichick is the first head coach ever to win at least 14 regular-season games in four separate seasons.
Gronkowski is likely one of the top choices for ROY award....not bad for a 2nd round pick.
Brady has to be top choice for MVP.

  • The Patriots had just 10 turnovers in 2010 (5 interceptions and 5 fumbles), setting an NFL record for fewest turnovers in a season.
  • The Patriots had just five passes intercepted in 2010, tying the NFL mark for fewest interceptions in a single season.
  • The Patriots finished with a perfect 8-0 regular-season record at Gillette Stadium for the second consecutive season.
  • The Patriots scored 65 touchdowns in 2010, a total that ranks as the eighth-highest total in NFL history.
  • With a total of 38 points against the Dolphins today, the Patriots finished the season with 518 points, a total that ranks seventh in NFL history.
  • The Patriots set a franchise record by finishing the 2010 season with a turnover differential of +28, forcing 38 turnovers while allowing just 10 turnovers.
  • The Patriots scored 38 points today and tied an NFL record for most consecutive games with 30 or more points with eight straight games with 30 or more points.
  • Tom Brady threw just four interceptions on 492 attempts in 2010, for a 0.81 interception percentage. That mark is the third best in NFL history and the best among all quarterbacks in league history who had at least 250 pass attempts in their low-interception season.
  • Quarterback Tom Brady extended his NFL record by throwing at least two touchdowns without an interception in each of his past nine games.
  • Brady has thrown at least one touchdown pass in all 16 games of the 2010 season after finishing with two touchdown tosses against the Dolphins. Since the NFL went to a 16-game season in 1978, only six quarterbacks have thrown for at least one touchdown in each game.
  • Tom Brady's 2010 season will go down as one of the best seasons by a quarterback in NFL history.
  • Tom Brady extended his NFL-record interception-free streak to 335 consecutive pass attempts without an interception.
  • The Patriots had a turnover against Miami, ending an NFL-record streak of seven straight games without a turnover. No other NFL team had gone longer than four straight games without a turnover.
  • The Patriots have scored nine touchdowns that were not offensive touchdowns in 2010, tying a team record set in 1961 for most non-offensive touchdowns in a season.
The Pats have 6 draft picks in the first 3 rounds of the 2011 draft including 2 in the first round, #17 and 32, and 11 picks overall. Bodes well for continued success.

Just absurd. In the normal course of events...a simple deflected pass lands in another teams hands over the course of time that many throws takes. And though he has had a couple he threw right to the opposition during this streak...they didnt hold on and as such Brady keeps on chuggin. Just unreal.

Bradford is getting absolutely no help from his receivers today. Just pathetic.

Tim Tebow is not polished.
Tim Tebow doesn't make great decisions every play.
Tim Tebow looks like a rookie.

The Denver Broncos are a different team when Tebow is playing. If they can fix those three things above? Watch out.

I was about to say the same thing.

Drops everywhere are killing the Rams.

Yeah, if St.Louis can get Bradford some guys to work with they'll roll over that Division for the next decade. He's already the best QB in that Division, and thats with next to nothing to work with.

^ The guy in your avatar could probably be the best quarterback in this division. The NFC West is freaking awful.

Love this Tweet from Bill Simmons; This game is like watching two drunk uncles trying to play Madden on their nephew's PS3.

The current one or the old one? Jarmarcus could do great things in San Francisco....

Although, in the NFL things change quickly and two years from now the NFC West could be one of the stronger ones in the NFL. The Rams are hugely improved from last year, the Seahawks did turn over pretty much their entire roster this last offseason, and the Cardinals also did a pretty significant overhaul of theirs.

But there is no doubt this is the worst Division in the Superbowl era. Every single team in this Division was handily outscored by their opponents, and it's beginning to look like the Division Champion is a 7-9 team.

7-9 is still a good job by Pete Carrol because this Seahawks team was and still is a mess. Lucky for him that wins the division. Good for Seattle. That was one of the ugliest football games I've ever watched.

That was super ugly, only the Rams could turn a 1st and 5 into a 4th and 22.

However don't count out Seattle next week, that field is really tough on visiting teams, even the World Champs.

------

So what happens now? Does the NFL overreact and change their playoff format? Do we want this?

Woot! IN!

Charlie Whitehurst did what Hasslebeck couldn't the past 3 years...win that big game. Defense huge, though I thought St. L would use Jackson a lot more.

As for the game itself, not a work of art, but I've seen worse this year, from Seattle and, around the league even this week...as fashionable as it may be to bash simply because of the teams' records.

In tough against NO. Seattle hung in ok in their game earlier in the year, and NO isn't playing their best football right now.

The entire NFC West needs to be relegated to the UFL. What a disgrace.
