Mixed feelings about this if true - it would be nice to get rid of the debt but I do not like the model of endless money for any club or the league.
the endless money really only has a few years left with the new UEFA rules to be eligible to play in their competitions, so while the big clubs are always going to be able to spend more because they bring in new revenue, a team like Man City only has a few more seasons to spend ridiculously before they have to start only spending profits

Berbatov is having the game if his life against Sunderland. It's 20 minutes in and he only has 1 goal but he could literally have 5 so far. He's getting lots of chances, handling the ball well and blasting a few if the post. Has passing and dribbling thus far incredible. Never seen him look better but he'll probably look MIA next game

Glad to see Arsenal get a win against a top flight club, though Chelsea is obviously not hitting on all cylinders.

I was happy to see Walcott get the start, he's still out of control a bit of the time, but his pace helps them stay aggressive.

It was good to get a win against another one of the Big 3, felt amazing!

Walcott played a massive role, his pace was key in neutralising Cashley and his commitment was vital in defence. He may not have as much skill as Arshavin but his energy and determination can more than make up for that.

a win by birmingham would be nice today.

Great win by the Gunners yesterday! This should bode well in building some confidence against the big clubs especially going up against Barca in champions league next.

don't think it would mean much

United have been playing terrible and with a win would be 9 points up on chelsea, would be a big collapse for them to not win the league this season

Pretty sure Wenger takes 100% blame for not picking up 3 points there

changing 8 players from the side that beat Chelsea, wonder if the FA threatens a fine like they did when Holly did it earlier this year for Blackpool

gonna guess no

The ref was terrible and I want to blame him but lucky for him I wouldn't have a voice after tearing into Arsene...

He made his squad selection on Monday seem like luck rather than progress; same old b/s.

ya to be fair the wigan penalty was I think a dive

and there was handball by wigan in the box as well off a free kick

but that squad selection in itself deserved a loss

a few days away from another silly transfer season in the PL

a few of the names that are rumored to move, or be moved to the league, and some rumored teams

anyone think we actually see some big names move?

I think it's going to be quite busy

three predictions ranging from probably almost certain, to a good chance, to sort of out there

Dzeko to Man City
Ashley Young in a swap deal to Spurs for something involving Keane/Bentley
Fernando Torres to Chelsea

Harry said Becks wants it so it's up to the Galaxy to decide whether they want to let him, which I wouldn't fault them for saying no too after losing him for the entire season last year when he tore his Achilles while at AC Milan
