If you enjoy fireworks, Airdrie's Festival Of Lights will be sending some up to the sky around 8. Always a great display... and a short drive north.
And it's free. It's in Nose Creek Park, which is just north of Yankee Valley Blvd, on Main Street.

Apparently there are fireworks tonight, but they're at 9pm, to accommodate people with little kids I guess.

No extended transit is even more lame. There were however some "unofficial" fireworks at Century Gardens around 12:30, which attracted quite a few fire trucks several minutes too late.

Olympic Plaza did do the fireworks, but really early at around 9.
