I'm falling further behind. Colston only got 3 points.

In my office pickem pool, the NO win was clutch.
Won the week money as tomorrows game won't change the standings, and made up 3 spots on 1st place, now just 1 win away from being tied (and hold the tie breaker) from the lead, 5 wins clear of 3rd. This after trailing by 8 wins after Week 9, behind 7 others.
151-88 so far on the year, straight up, no spreads.

That's a really solid record. I split a $400 entry fee with a buddy in a pool of about 30 guys where you pick spreads each week. I had no idea it would be so difficult, the amount of games we've lost this year by .5 or 1 point has been absolutely crazy. It's alot of fun though.

Janikowski was huge for me this week and as it stands, won me our league championship.

Gronkowski, NE defense and Hakeem Nicks all had stellar weeks for me.
To think. I was in the top 6 until I lost Dallas Clark, then Frank Gore, then Nicks to injury. Glad I could pull put the consolation win (assuming Maclin doesn't get 45pts)

Thank you Vikings! Won 9th place in B league granted no point corrections that boost Philly D.
Though I was effed when only 8 points was needed from Eagles defense. And Eagles got that right away, and it's the Vikings...
Thought I let down my 40 point Josh Freeman. But alas Vikings decided to play and got me the W by a narrow 1 point margin.
From last place to 9th. I'll take it.

Congrats to toonmaster for winning League A. Like Girly, Vick let me down in the big game... but it was also the first week I wasn't planted on the couch watching the games. Leaving D. Brown in when J. Addai came back (who I dropped earlier in the week, cause I couldn't wait any longer for him to return) was a mistake. And true to form, Reggie Wayne saw nothing in his direction.
So it turns out that my Colts were my downfall this week.
None the less... Over the last 2 years, I've made the finals both times. Something I can take away from this season.

Yay, I did it! Thanks Girly for the congratulations, I didn't think I'd beat you.
I thought I was done for when Romo went out. And it seemed every QB I started performed worse than the one(s) I had on the bench. But in the end I hedged my bets by using the Joe Webb manoeuvre and managed to squeak through the playoffs.
My second ever victory in a Yahoo! pool, the first one coming in the 2008 baseball season. And I'm currently leading my Barclays Premier League pool by a healthy margin. It's all a bit strange considering I follow hockey much more closely than any of those sports but never seem to win my hockey pool...

Ya you beat me by 1 point. Does that mean I'm now C league bound? Terrible season, just couldn't overcome that last draft position.
Also, for those who know how the Yahoosports fantasy system works, I see I won my other league, even though we tied in the championship game. What would be the tiebreaker, more points scored over the season? Just trying to figure out why I was awarded the gold.

Pretty sure total points is the first tiebreaker.

I think the tiebreaker is head-to-head during the season, did you beat your opponent earlier in the year?
Yes I think you're C League bound, 3 teams get promoted and relegated.
But if one of the 24 teams above you doesn't show up next year then you'll be next in line to be bumped back up.
Is that right Pagal?

Almost the same situation for me in A league.
Started the playoffs in 10th spot, won the consolation playoffs and finished in 7th
No Relegation for me...woo hoo!!

Thanks, considering where I was midway just before the season, really turned it on.
That said, this last week is the hardest to pick, nevermind the pressure of trying to pick up that extra game on the current pool leader (and of course, not slipping up and dropping 5 games over 3rd place). How do games where either one or both teams have nothing to play for? How do you pick games where a team may be able to move up or down spots in the playoffs, depending on how they do and how other games go?
I assume Minnesota's an underdog to Detroit simply because they've played just on Tuesday?
But then why is Philly that big a favourite over Dallas after also just playing yesterday, and Vick possibly not playing?
The enigma that is the Jets and Giants.
KC can move up, but not likely.
Then the throw away games like ARI and SF, SD/DEN.
Really tough picks.

Because Kevin Kolb is no slouch and probably wants to prove something.
And Dallas blows.

Thanks to all in A league for a great season. I barely made it through to the finals, but thanks to stat corrections I squeaked by SportsJunkies with less than a point to spare in the semi finals.
My MVP was Aaron Rodgers, but a big thanks goes to Garrard for filling in while Rodgers was out with his concussions. A solid WR core lead by Collie, Lloyd, Boldin & Harvin, a decent running attack of Mendenhall, BGE, Moreno & T.Jones, and an early start by Keller teamed up with a late finish by Witten all helped lead me to my third consecutive league A title.
Here's hoping for a fourth straight title next year!

Didn't wanna bring fantasy over to the actual football thread so thought I'd give this a bump. So with the lockout on the verge of being over, its that time again, and I just got a couple Q's for this upcoming fantasy season.
1) I was just setting up my other fantasy league and noticed for the CP "B" league, I have an invitation its asking me to accept. Has the league already been renewed for next year and awaiting everyone to accept, or should I hold off? I just ask because I finished 10th last year and may or may not have been relegated to the "C" league.
2) In my other league, I'm trying to make it a keeper league (yahoosports, same as the CP one), but I can't for the life of me see where the "keeper league" option is. Little help? Thanks guys.
