Default Do you Bing?

Bing vs google.. is there really even a difference worth talking about? Do you prefer one over the other for a tangible reason, or, do you simple not care?

I use both interchangeably.

I do prefer google images over bing images though. I just find the format and layout better.

I often find that if I use Bing like I use Google, I get totally unrelated results. Given the results, I suspect that Bing has ranked places that sell things (products, services etc) higher than places that provide information when compared to Google.

The only thing I do prefer Bing for is the look of the Bing page the few times I have been there, but honestly how many times do I go to a search engine's webpage rather than use the built in search bar of whatever browser I am using.

I use Bing's satellite maps for some stuff because they tend to be more recently updated than Google maps. Other than that, I don't think I've made a single Bing search in my life. Even with Bing Maps, searching is so much less intuitive than Google.

Yes... an understanding of marketing.

I switched from Bing to Google as the default for properties on my website.
As said above google.ca is so on the brain. I also use chrome which allows for the instant google search in the address bar!

I tried bing to find a problem I was having with my Exchange server at work. Went through about 2 pages of results and could not find the answer. Switched to google and on the 2nd hit (not page) I found a solution that fixed my problem.
From that day I figured that if I could not find a result for a MS product in a MS search then it is not worth it. I use google as my default search provider and if I cannot find my answer then I try others.

I wonder if there is a federated search plugin that would take the results returned by google and bing, and display as the top hits the ones that both engines returned as the highest ranking

I love Bing maps for that 3D angle view.
