The Giants-Bears-Packers showdown in the final few weeks here should be fantastic. The Packers losing tonight does not necessarily rule them out for the 2nd NFC wild card, but it will make things difficult... especially if Rodgers is not back next week. The NFL schedulers once again look downright brilliant when you look at the final few weeks.
The Packers missing the playoffs though would be a huge disappointment- possibly the biggest underachievers this year imo... the biggest overachievers of course being the Jets- although I will be cheering for them next week against the Bears... barf

Tebow looked good today. That was without question one of the worst games I've ever seen an OC call. Run. Run. Pass. It was like they were using the playbook from the original Tecmo Bowl.
And most of Tebow's runs were designed runs. There was only a couple times he took off running on a called pass. Hell, the guy only got what 15 chances to throw the ball? I think he looked good, made some good throws. Ball needs to catch that TD pass at the end, that was right in the breadbasket. I like what I've seen from Tebow so far and can't wait for an entirely new staff to come in because these current interim coaches are morons.

I actually didn't think Tebow looked that good at all. He had the big 40 yard running play and the fluke 33 yard TD that should have been intercepted by Huff but it went through his hands to Loyd who was on the ground. After that he had nothing outside of a small handful of completions. Against a good defense (Raiders defense is horrible) the Broncos likely would have been shut out with less than 150 yards total.
They were stuck running a conservative playbook because Tebow isn't a good enough passer to just let him throw the ball around. The Raiders crowded the line and dared them to pass but everytime Tebow dropped back he had a hard time reading coverage. IMO he's never going to be a starter but may have a career as a solid backup and gadget player.

Unbelievable... There is no other quarterback in the NFL that gets that much time in the pocket... MVP of the year should be the offensive line of the Pats.

LOL if Broncos fans think he's going to be a solid NFL starter they are setting themselves up for massive, massive disappointment. McDaniels biggest mistake was using a 1st rounder on Tebow. There were so many better players available as Tebow isn't going to be in impact player.

Tim wasn't a "runner" like Vick was or even Young. His runs were mostly designed runs when he was at Florida also.
Oh from ESPN's website:
Tim Tebow: 6-9, 116 yds, TD, 146.7 rating when passing from under center. Highest single-game rating for a Bronco QB over the last three seasons (which includes Jay Cutler's time there).

Yeah, I guess the guy that had a higher comp % than both McCoy and Bradford during his college years just sucks....
It's amazing how many people hate the kid. He is a great role model and a great underdog role. He hasn't gone out and murdered dogs, or acted like a complete bitch like Vince Young. But the people tend to forget what they said about McNabb, or the fact that they were saying Russell was the next best thing.
Reading defenses can be taught, Tim will learn that over time. But what NFL rookie QB doesn't have a hard time reading coverages? I guess no one but Tim?
I hate the Broncos and I find it funny that a Raider fan is busting someone up about a bust at QB. Is your ex QB sober yet?

I think it's too early to tell either way. He could be an NFL QB based on his work ethic, but he doesn't seem to have the tools. If he became a legit gadget player (ie Brad Smith) I wouldn't see it as that much of a busted 1st rounder.

Maybe not, but they did trade 3 other picks to get this gadget guy. It's one thing if a team who's good and deep and picking 25th in the draft because they were a top 7 team in the leauge picks a guy like that. It's another when a mediocre team surrenders a few picks that they could have used to build up depth to do it.

No it's not. There's been doubt since day one on if he could become an NFL QB. Nobody can dispute his leadership skills and drive but that will only get you so far. He's not as talented as guys like Vick and Young nor is he as elusive in the pocket. Did you watch todays game? The stats look flattering as the Raiders defense gave up their usual big plays defensively but outside of that they had a really easy time shutting down the Tebow. Honestly he wouldn't get over 75 yards passing against the Steelers defense.

He would have been better served being drafted by a team like the Patriots where he could have had years as Brady's understudy learning from the best. He's not polished and needs a lot of work. Throwing him in as starter now or next year is going to likely ruin him.

LOL I couldn't care less if Russell just polished off a couple of bottles of cough medicine. He's not on the team anymore and the Raiders are on the rise.
Can't believe the Packers are handling the Patriots. I like it.

LOL his stats were only good because he played in the spread, his stats were only that good because he was playing Oklahoma, His stats were only good because he completed easy passes, his stats were only good because Oakland's defense sucked..... ECT ECT ECT
Been hearing this for the last 3 years, I guess it's his time to do it in the NFL.

True, but at this point with McDaniels already forgotten, for Broncos fans that doesn't really matter now. What matters is what Tebow brings to the Broncos.

Damn, I just turned the game off like 20 mins ago when NE intercepted the ball for a pick 6.
