Don't count on it. MGM's financial problems have scuttled a lot of the projects they had in the pipeline.

Actually both the SG:A and SG:1 movies were just recently confirmed as being still in production.

Betcha they are straight to DVD like "Ark of Truth"

Oh well, better than nothing.

I have to say SGU is the most depressing show ever. Its all just one big Sh$t sandwich and they all take turns taking a bite.

All the Stargate movies are direct to DVD and will never be out in theaters except for the original stargate.

and to be honest, i like it better that way.

One thing I've noticed people bring up is how big this show is with Canadians and how the it didn't really catch on that much with the US.

Maybe this has something to do witht he dumbing down of US society and reality TV. Or maybe the Neilson's rating system. Not really sure.

Wasn't the Stargate MMO recently killed as well?

Out of the "Star" franchises (Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate and Star Search), Stargate is my third favourite.

I actually never really got into Stargate beyond the James Spader/Kurt Russell movie.

That's completely their own fault then because it should have been amazing at the start instead of a pile of crap

Which was the least interesting part about the fandom.

Oh for sure. But SG1 was ten seasons long. I kinda felt like I didn't have to time to dedicate to actually get into the Universe. I was too busy watching Star Trek: Voyager at the time for my crappy SciFi fix.

I actually liked SG1 (Only the 7 or 8 seasons with RDA though) the most of the 3 Stargate series.

I'm sure I liked them. But really, with the franchise so large, my dance card is pretty full already.

I never watched any of the stargate TV series but decided to try this one simply because Robert Carlyle was casted in it, damn it this show really has potential to be quite awesome.

Just IMO but SG1 is 10X better than Voyager. Voyager is terrible, SG1 for at least the first 7-8 seasons is great.
