Man I wish I was back in Ontario going back to school. I would KILL for a venue like the Square One Playdium they had. OMG!
I think that you're thinking of the Mountainview bowling place in Glamorgan on Richmond and 37th. They have both 10 and 5 pin bowling.

Ironically it was an Ontarian who invented 5-pin bowling. I'll admit that, until recently, I didn't realize that 5-pin was one of those strange Canadianisms. I guess that on my travels I have never really come across many bowling alleys to notice.

Anyone remember the bowling place in Huntington Hills on Hunterview Drive and 64th in that run-down mall that used to have the Allwest store? Now that was gem.

I was at Let's Bowl last night for some 10-pin fun. It was a great time.

As an aside ...

anyone else go mental when someone asks 'how come' instead of 'why' ?

Not to be a grammar nazi ... but that one hurts my brain.

Holy crap that brought back memories, the last time I was in there was 1978 playing pinball.

Well that was a year before I was born. But you were probably playing pinball while my Mum was in a bowling league there. Wait a minute.... Dad? Haha.

I believe that it all shut down in the mid to late-nineties. The mall above was pretty much empty with the exception of Flicks video and one or two other things. The bowling alley, IIRC, was there until the bitter end and was likely the exact same as it was when you left it in 1978.

I would probably say yes. You have to have a huge variety of bowling balls with different finger hole sizes and weights. You need more pins, but that can't be a big deal.

In Medicine Hat they have a bowling alley with a dozen 10 pin lanes and a dozen 5 pin lanes. The 5 pin is always busy, but the 10 pin is never busy unless there's a special.

They used to have 10 pin on one side and 5 pin on the other (7 or 8 years ago). But that alley has been shut down for a few months now, I think it is toast.

But Let's Bowl always seems to be pretty busy.
