Default Gunman opens fire at school board meeting

Quote:
Clay Duke, 56, was believed to be angry about his wife losing her job.
A television reporter at the meeting said he went up to the podium at the Bay District School Board meeting and said he had a motion to propose.
He then pulled out a can of red spray paint and painted a "V" with a circle around it.
Duke then pulled out a gun and remonstrated with those present, who attempted to calm him down.
He was confronted by a female board member, who tried to knock the gun out of his hand using her handbag.
He pushed her to the ground before he started firing randomly, then turned the gun on himself.
It is believed at least 10 shots were fired during the incident.
No one else was injured.

That woman who tried to disarm the gunman right at the beginning is an idiot, she could have easily gotten them all killed right there and then for that.

I'm surprised the security guard started firing at him considering all the innocent people are just behind those wooden desks.

Couple of things come to mind:

Jules: This was Divine Intervention! You know what "divine intervention" is?
Vincent: Yeah, I think so. That means God came down from Heaven and stopped the bullets.
Jules: Yeah, man, that's what it means. That's exactly what it means! God came down from Heaven and stopped the bullets.
Vincent: I think we should be going now.
Jules: Don't do that! Don't you _______ do that! Don't blow this ____ off! What just happened was a _______ miracle!
Vincent: Chill the ____ out, Jules, this ____ happens.
Jules: Wrong! Wrong, this ____ doesn't just happen.
Vincent: Do you wanna continue this theological discussion in the car, or at the jailhouse with the cops?
Jules: We should be ______' dead now, my friend! We just witnessed a miracle, and I want you to _______ acknowledge it!
Vincent: Okay man, it was a miracle, can we leave now?

At that point, I'm not surprised. He's shooting around recklessly, if the security guard as any chance of doing something there he should.

Life intimates Art.

Spray-painting the V. Walking around like he's Bruce Willis. Using catchphrases.

It's interesting how movies can affect the minds of some. Goes to reason they affect everyone somewhat.

Love those youtube comments, if everyone had a gun and were trained to use it less people would get shot. Great logic there, I like guns but I'm not delusional.

If everyone had a gun and were trained to use it, this guy probably would have for want of a better term been a better killer then he was.

Not that anything like that would ever be condoned, but it blows my mind that half a dozen people just watched her and a)no body helped her or b)used that opportunity to run.

That would probably be one of the stupidest things to do. They would most likely all be dead right now if they did that.

The guy on the far left doesn't even try to cover up or go under the desk when shot at? Did he want to die or something.

Better than just sitting there when he points it at your face and pulls the trigger? I don't know, I'd atleast want to have a fighting chance instead of just sitting there and being absolutely helpless.
