Former Calder Trophy winner Andrew Raycroft has been traded to the Sharks in return for prospects Justin Falk, Trevor Lewis & Nathan Moon.
"This was a trade made out of necessity," said Sharks GM therizzle. "Our old backup goalie was so horrible that he hasn't even played a game yet. We had been keeping Jimmy Howard fresh by forcing him to sleep in a hyperbaric chamber, and that was becoming too cost-prohibitive for us."
Raycroft is a solid backup and has been playing very well for the NHL Stars this season. He even has a chance to take over the starter's role if Kari Lehtonen keeps getting injured, as he usually does.
