as discussed in other threads, i bought the lg 47le5300 and i am super happy with it.

its led and if you make sure to choose the one with the right screen, the viewing angles are excellent.

it has a usb port that works really well. anyways...it was at costco and cost me 1149 IIRC; it has been on sale twice since then and so i think i ended up paying 1000 for it.

i'm happy with the technology and no burn in when my kids use it!

Lob me in with the Samsung lovers.

My brother bought one when he moved out and the picture is unreal. Seriously every Samsung i have ever seen is far and beyond better than what you get from Sony etc. Especially considering the price point.

My opinion is Biased though because i play Xbox on a 62" LED Samsung.

I purchased 3 different Samsungs in a row, and each was a faulty panel.

I'm glad you found a brand you can trust and enjoy, but from my experience I will not only never purchase one again but never recommend them to anyone I know.

I'm sure when you get one that works they are impressive. I didn't go through 3 just as an experiment, they are attractive sets for sure.
