We get to play a scrimmage in the AHL teams arena today. Pretty excited about that , will post pics up if the photographer who is supposed to show up does.

on a side note, seems as I have an internet stalker from here. He is trolling and talking crap about me and this thread on a Local hockey forum. Its kind of funny so I just wanted to formally say Hi to him here on his home forum. Hi buddy!

Im thinking it is 7uongo.... maybe? He made a comment about being force fed these hockey updates over here .... I remember 7uongo making a big deal about the original moondawgs thread and it being bumped. Oh well....

The game was awesome. So much different to play on really good ice. Its so much faster. The team we played was a lot better than us but we played well. We were only down 2-0 with 10 min left in the 3rd. Then one of our players put 2 goals in our own net haha! It was an awesome experience. I cant wait to play them again!

As far as the fans... We actually get at least 12 or so people every game. We had possibly 25 Moondawgs fans at this game. It was a short notice game. We found out on Thursday that it was a go for Sunday. We will play again so we will see if we can fill the arena. Of course the arena has 14k seats so I think its highly unlikely. We did have a photographer who took 600 photos so I can post some when I get pictures back from her.

Thanks for asking about the game. Im glad there is still some interest here. I can keep updating here and not worry about one guy giving me because he says only 1 or 2 people read this here.

'nuck fan... wouldn't surprise me!!!

here's a little something for him....

ha! ha! ... and yea - it is signed - and no - this picture has not been 'shopped' - the jersey is hanging in my front closet!

i know what you mean about playing on good ice. i've had the opportunity to play at prospera place here in kelowna - where the kelowna rockets (whl) play. the ice is wicked good (and fast) there. in fact - one of the ice guys that i know from prospera went to vancouver in february to work on the ice for the olympics. you could actually see him in some of the footage of the gold medal game!

talk about scoring on your own net - i play goal and TWICE this season we've won and only let the opposition score 1 goal and BOTH times my own guys put it behind me - arrggghh!! ahhh - the illusive shutout!!

25 fans - ok - i'm officially jealous!!! ha! ha!

i'm looking forward to the pics and i always enjoy reading about how your season is going!!! keep up the posts and if you find out who the troll is give him a little 'love tap' to the calves goalie style for me!!

Well guys I am sorry.. I made a big mention at the interview about CP and all the help you guys gave me but for some reason it was omitted from the article. I am not sure why... But here is the Article. The lady interviewed myself, and 2 of my players. Paco and Pooki. They are husband and wife. Pooki was born and raised in Thailand and actually started hockey over there. Paco and her met playing on a team here. Hockey Love story!

We played the Canadian Air Force again this past Sunday. We got beat.. again! However I guess I can understand Bobby Lou now and his I didnt let in 7 so its improvement comment. First game we lost 12-4 or something a long those lines. This game we only lost 6-2 ! Improvement right? We were even missing one of our best players and his wife whom also plays for us. I was happy with the outcome!

As for the stalker, he has faded away. I am sure it 7oungo. Although that guy hasnt been signed on here for a while . I am sure he is using another moniker since you guys were pretty hard on him while back ( which was funny).

More southern missouri/oklahoma hockey.

There was a women's tourney in Springfield, Missouri this weekend. SOme decent hockey from teams from Kansas CIty, Dallas, St. Louis and SPringfield. Many of these women only started to play a year or two ago and they played hard this weekend. There was one funny coincidence. Our women (lost 2-1 in the final) wear hot pink jerseys with a Hooter's restaurant logo on the front (the restaurant is the common pregame place to go for the hockey players). No no Hooters and girls isn't the funny part.

The funny part was that on one of the teams (St. Louis Edge I think) was Raechel Holtgrave....Miss Hooter's International 2009.

We kept the game puck... I gave it to the keeper since it was his first shut out . I should get it back and laser etch it just for him. However , we found out how to get him to play well... Just offer him $$ . Apparently his parents told him he gets 50 bucks for every shutout. This was the first game they offered it to him and he got it. LOL

LOL hey Im not complaining .... the dude started playing goal in March. He was actually a forward for our summer season so this is first season ever in net. Whatever makes him play well.... I have been trying to talk my wife into more grown up perks for points and such.... She aint going for it though I wouldn't be adverse to my parents giving me $$ for points and stuff. The problem is my mom had a hard enough time understanding the games of baseball and football that I played my whole life. Not a chance in hell she ever learns hockey. She came to a couple games and my wife said she just liked when we ran into other people on the ice, we were on the same team .... pfft

I remember I used to get paid for hitting homeruns. When I was 13 I joined a competitive, tryout to play tournaments team. My dad said for every home run you hit I will give you 100 dollars. Very first tournament , I hit 5 homeruns in the first 2 games. He gave me 500 dollars that night and discontinued the homerun program . It was a bummer cause I hit a ton of bombs that year. But 500 bucks to a 13 yr old in 1995 was a ton of money!

Nice shutout! On the flip side we experienced our worst loss ever last night 8-1. Nothing went right. Also received in the game was a trip to the dentist thanks to a cross check to the jaw (in C/rec league!). No teeth lost and not broken thanks to the cage but a very swollen jaw that hurts. Have to wear a mouthpiece for a few days to keep things aligned while the swelling comes down, liquid diet for 3 days, high dose anti-inflammatory, frequent icing.... Dentist is quite surprised something didn't break given the extent of the swelling.

Well Moondawgs played lights out tonight.. Posted another shutout !!! 5-0 win .... 5 different goal scorers tonight. ( 1 was me on the Powerplay) Good game so we are 2-2 in our last 4. We should be 2-1-1 but the refs called off our game tying goal last week with 2 minutes left. Why you ask? " The goal was off the mooring or we were in the crease!" That was the answer we got HAHA!

Oh well we are playing a ton better! I hope I get to play with some of you guys come Christmas time.

Sorry been falling down on the updates ..

We have had a 3-3 tie , a 8-1 loss , and tonight we had a 5-4 win .... it brings our record to 3-6-1 . We are playing so much better and its so much better when you can compete with other teams!

We have beat every team we have to play for the rest of the season ( except 1 game against the Canadians) If we can beat the team we have already beat we can go 6-1 in our last 7.... I would love to just to win 4 and go 7-9 -1 . That would be AWESOME!!!
