I'm assuming you're on 360. I haven't seen too many bugs. It was bad on PC but it's been ok on 360. The game starts out really boring, so I stopped to play Dead Rising 2 also, but it's gotten better now.
I loved the Fallout 3, but new vegas just seems off.

this game solidifies my practice of trying before i buy. i downloaded a copy from a torrent site, played for about 30 minutes before becoming annoyed at the terrible combat and uninstalled. i would have been quite upset had i paid $50 for it

Heh, I "tried" fallout 3, and am now waiting for a steam sale to pick it up as well as new vegas if it ever goes on sale as well.
Might be waiting a while though...

Just a question, what did I do to deserve such condescending remarks?

New Vegas on the other hand fixed a lot of the game play issues - added humor back into the mix and created a coherent and understandable storyline. If you're still curious about a free-roaming FPS/RPG with a great backdrop, this game is the bomb - despite the ridiculous amount of bugs in it. No other game compares.
BTW... when did this board get so many Trolls? Seriously, mocking someone over a video game?
|
I am hesitant to give New Vegas a shot now that I am fully aware of the gameplay that this franchise employs. I have heard that NV feels a lot like an expansion pack, although most people are quite pleased with the story.
I don't know what it is about CP, but it is becoming increasingly hostile. It has also become more of who you offend, not that the offense takes place. There have been a few occasions in the past 6 months or so where my opinion has been met with unwarranted aggression. This used to be the best place to come and read some very interesting discussion and offer an appreciated view point.
I can't say that I would recommend this board to anyone any longer, and I don't feel as comfortable participating.

What's so wrong with not attempting to insult me on an internet forum?

Why is poor behavior justified because it is the internet? Just because I have an inoffensive differing opinion from your own leaves me open to ridicule and degradation?
I use the forum much in the same manner as you, and yet I have never found the urge to treat someone in the way that you have to me. It does more harm to people and the community in general, even if you can't see it in person.
For the sake of the thread I will try to chalk it up to a post-loss agitated fan needing an outlet for their anger and frustration. Although that doesn't make it any more acceptable.

I didn't mean to offend; it was just a joke. Whether you like it or not I could care less, I loved Fallout 3 and thought it was one of the best games, not without its flaws but still fantastic.
It's the same with me and my hatred for the Uncharted series. Most people on here adore that game and I think it is a steaming pile of rubbish.

OT but I completely agree Justin. Fallout 3 was one of my favorite games of all time, it sometimes even lead to me and my brother fighting for control of the xbox to play it. I poured more hours into that game than any other game I've ever played. Also I too have a huge hatred for Uncharted, it's alright but everyone over hypes it like no other.

Anonymity I guess. It's much worse on most of the internet. CP is moderated quite nicely in comparison. Don't take it personally. Do you really care what some random person with a silly nickname thinks of your video game preference at the end of day?

I am actually the same in person =-o. I just didn't think he was actually offended. Only after his last post is it starting to dawn on me he might actually be serious.

I don't know about anyone else, but some good natured ribbing about opinions is something my friends do all the time. It's hardly poor behaviour.

It is much easier to interpret 'good natured ribbing' while in person, and knowing the people you are communicating with on a personal level. It is much harder to pick up on something like that through text with someone you do not know. It is also quite easy to claim it to be a joke after the fact.
It was written in a very demeaning way, without the customary green text that seems to indicate sarcasm. And while I am not seriously upset about it, I did take the text at its literal translation as I had no reason to think otherwise. The statement, as it was worded, seemed unnecessary...and that includes his follow up imagery when it was quite clear that I took the initial comment seriously.
I am perfectly willing to attribute this incident to miscommunication.

Yes, well after the initial post.
I'll make sure to clarify a posters intention the next time I feel insulted.

Are you seriously this upset over my calling you muffin and saying a game was too tough for you?
Even if I was serious and trying to be insulting to hurt your feeling, is that really all it took to do it?
