I've found for fast-food joints, Wendy's has always undersalted their fries.

That might be a good thing... Too much salt = potential liver failure. There are always more salt packets on the condiments table if anyone needs them.

Taco Time the other day was just at bad for me.
I'd like a super beef burrito please. Small or large? Ah.. large
In a combo? yes
Small or large? I just said large.
No, your fry and drink sir. Oh ok, ah just normal please.
I was then asked if I wanted to supreme my mexi fries, and also if I wanted to buy some sort of desert thing for a dollar.
Six questions, one meal.

I also find that they (Wendy's) also give me a ridiculous amount of napkins.
My biggest Wendy's pet peeve though, is it seems like half the time I go and ask for a baked potatoe, they tell me they are out and it will take an hour. I'm not sure if that is just the one by me though.

Haven't tried the new fries yet, but the old ones were hit and miss, sometimes, they would be great, and sometimes they would be terrible. When they were good, they may have been the best fries out there. McDonalds fries would almost always be awesome if they cut back on the salt about an order of magnitude.

You know what goes great with McDonalds fries? That McRib sauce.....damn, it's good. They should have that stuff as part of their ketchup pump station thing.

Just had them for the first time. Didn't really notice much of a difference, and I certainly didn't notice much salt on them.

Arby's fries are awesome with horsey sauce. Then again, I'd lick my cat's arse if it had horsey sauce on it.

Growing up the best fries I ever have had was a little shack called "MacDonald's" burger and fries across the street from a fish plant I worked at in Cape Breton.
Aged PEI potatoes (just when they start getting soft and have the little growths)
Deep fried in one half corn oil and one half peanut oil.
They come out slightly on the dark side, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle...best damn fries...EVER.
Just like people who pay $15-$20 for a specialty burger these days I would bet people would pay at least double for fries like this...I may have to think about this.

Just tried their new fries for the first time and I'm not really that impressed. They are better than the old kind, but not by much. Still soggy after sitting for about 5 minutes (maybe because of the oil they use?)
Anyways not really that big of an improvement. More like a "meh".

Wendy's recently raised their value items from $1.39 to $1.89. I ordered a jr. bacon cheeseburger from them recently and thought it would be different, but nope. Still the same little patty on a squished up bun. I don't mind paying 50 cents extra if the food is higher quality, but for now, I think I'll stick with McDonald's.

The Bacon is much better.
Before they put little crap peices of bacon on it, now they put the good stuff, the apple whatever smoked bacon that they put on all their burgers.

McD's fries have damn crack in them I swear. Every several weeks I get a super craving for those fries and a double quarter pounder.

Then again- I remember paying $1.39 back in the mid 90's for Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers. I specifically recall because I was under-employed at the time and that was the only fast food I could afford. Given inflation over the past 13 years I can see why a jump was justified.
