But some of the shot selection... Barbossa... so frustrating at times. Evans is definitely the guy that stirs the drink for us.

Bayless, Weems and Barbosa need to be aware of the drive-and-kick option; it's been there all game, but our guys tend to get tunnel vision once they put the ball on the floor.

The Ed Davis era begins tonight, at long last. Really looking forward to seeing how he looks at this level, although I think it'll take a while for him to settle in. If there's any sort of power-forward who's going to suit Bargnani's game, it's a traditional post-heavy guy who can play good D and score his points without needing plays run for him. I don't expect his rebounding to be great at first as his frame looks a little light for the NBA at this point. But we'll see.
edit: you never want to place to much importance on a first shift, but Davis's first NBA shift: 4 minutes, 4 points on 2/2 shooting, 4 boards including 2 offensive, a block, no fouls, +7. Both baskets were offensive putbacks. Doesn't look out of place at all.
further edit: Best halftime stat imaginable for the Raptors: the Raptors have more offensive boards (8) than the Wizards have defensive boards (7).

Sitting in 9th and only half a game back. I can't say I was expecting this. Yes the East is weak at the bottom it's still an accomplishment. The team plays hard.

I missed the first half tonight, but the third quarter was impressive. Calderon was at times outplaying Westbrook, who's one of the best in the game right now; 15 assists, two steals, and got his team many easy shots in the third. Defense, rebounding, and transition game were all excellent. Since Evans went out, Bargnani has been averaging 9 boards. Davis wasn't as impressive as his first game, but still solid.

This is the kind of losing team you can get behind. How entertaining.
It helped that KD was out, but the Thunder had been winning without him.

That was fun. The effort was amazing. Now this is a type of team I can cheer, young guys flying all over the place.
Andrea is playing really well.

I love this stat. Last year we were 7-12 with Bosh. This year we are 8-11 without Bosh, it seems to me that the team catered to Bosh too much and its showing that he's not really doing much on a better team. Loving the young gunz!
Playoffs baby! That's right I am thinking we can do it!

Weems needs to be taken out of the starting rotation now. Last two games he's completely taken the offense out of rhythm with selfish shots, turnovers, and at the other end has let the other team take whatever deep shots they want. Kleiza hasn't played great since coming back from his injury, but at least the effort is there when he's on the court. He's only useful in situations where the team is generating a lot of turnovers or the other team is missing shots and he can get out and run.

Probably Bargs' best offensive game of his career tonight, 41 pts, 6 assists, to go along with 7 boards. When the Raptors were at their best, the ball was going into him every half-court possession, and if the double-team came he passed off brilliantly and DeRozan in particular benefited from a lot of open lanes as a result. New York won, but Johnson getting into foul trouble early (again) put the Raptors in a difficult situation late.

Not sure why Bargnani not using his height and his speed a lot. Against the Knicks, he was playing on the post a lot and the Raptors were doing well. Then they get away from that play and start shooting from the outside. I don't have a high expectations on the Raptors this season but even that, it's still painful to watch them at times. I hope they stick to what's working best.

Lol, Raps-Nuggets is 51-51 17.5 minutes into the game... on pace for 140-140 at the end of regulation.
Edit: 19.5 minutes in, 61-59, on pace for 150-145.
Edit: Kleiza 17P, 7/8 FG, 3/3 3FG so far.
Edit: TOR 65-74 DEN at half, on pace 130-148.

Crazy game tonight, with both Toronto and Denver over 50 points only a couple minutes into the second quarter, and that's with both Anthony and Calderon not in the game. They're on pace for 150-150 score at this rate.

I wish there was a way to bet on whether Bargiani will have more >3 rebound games than he will have 10+

This game shows why Bargnani is a horsecrap player. Scores 41 which looks good but then watches Stoudemire score on him at will in the 4th quarter as the Raptors give the game away in the 4th quarter.
Is there a team out there that has a worse "best" player than Bargnani?
Even the crap teams have at least one legit player. TO has a decent sixth man on good teams as their so called stud.

Wow, the Raptors were down 25 points at one point during this game and are winning by 7 with 10.1 seconds left.
Largest comeback the Raptors have ever had.
