What are your thoughts? Korean music video!
I know this video is very old (some of you have probably seen it), but I want your honest opinion on what you think of this music video. I'm am trying to compile a list of reactions toward this video.
The video is called "Because I am a girl" by Kiss.

EDIT: You have to watch it from beginning to end, because the ending is crucial to the beginning. There's actually a story with a conclusion. The point to this was to gage your reaction to the conclusion of this video. Thanks!

The ending was pretty cool - it just took a long time to get there  I've been watching alot of Takashi Mike movies lately so this video was pretty tame compared to what I've been watching.

pretty good, twist ending there that has you understand really how much the guy felt for the girl, and how much guilt the girl has for what the guy chose to do for her.

Hey Bruce, I just watched the thing all the way through the other night, and didn't post my thoughts yet, as well now I have a paper to work on.
Regardless,
A few plot holes, how does she not notice the photo shoot? Why isn't anyone po'd when she walks in the middle?
Why isn't the girl originally going to wash his hair upset when she steals her client? I was like "wtf, I'd be ****ed if someone walked in and stole my sale"
Why wouldn't he wait to see if she recovers? Obviously if they're working on her there's hope, and the possibility. But he just goes out and gets that done anyway? IN THE SAME HOSPITAL? Ummm, whatever happened to doctors ethically saying "why not wait until you see if she recovers?"
Can you undergo the procedure he underwent? If so, wouldn't it be possible to have it corrected? A clean lazer cut would be possible to repair if chemicals spilled can be fixed? No? (I'm no doctor so don't take that as fact)
What's he doing for money now? Wouldn't it have been a better idea to support her, and pay for her bills by I dunno... WORKING!!! He's a photographer and he does that? Yeah honey I love ya, so I'm going to take away my ability to support you in your time of need.
If anything the girl should be crying about how f'n stupid her boyfriend was. Yes, obviously he wasn't dating her for the sole reason she's eye candy... mind you that IS how they started dating. So is the video supposed to say love more than vision? Or that vision leads to love? As well... they're sending mixed messages.
All in all, the concept was ok, but poorly executed IMO

The more I think about the rhetorical significance of what's going on, the more I hate it.
I really hope the words make it make more sense... I don't think it's romantic at all (then again I'm Mr. Cynical and believe love is a manufatored concept made up by Halmark to sell greeting cards, LOL) as I said above, how can he support her both physically, and financially if he's got the same condition she does? Your blind... now rather than pay for the medical bills under the assumption "it's my fault you're blind," and ensure you're able to continue living your life, and help you around the house and do everyday things... I'M GONNA BE BLIND TOO THUS SCREWING THE TWO OF US!!!
Then with her being ok, now he did it for nothing other than the misdirected attempt to be romantic and express his love, and leaving her feeling beyond guilty. And I €must go back to the point what doctor would ethically do that procedure when she's "attempting to recover"?
Bruce... if you know the director of the video can you do me a favour? Hit him off the side of the head and say "this is from some guy on the East coast... WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?!?"

Dood you missed the whole point, I doubt you even watched the video! He didn't go blind just because he assumed she's blind (a la Romeo & Juliet), she's blind and he gave her his eyes! Didn't you see the video!? I don't know if the procedure is technically possible but that's the theme of the story.

How sad is it that I pick up such minor details as the crew not being the slightest bit upset that she ruined the shot, or that the colleage isn't upset that she steals her client. Yet I don't put together that he gave her his eyes.
I didn't know that was possible, hence not thinking about it.
If it is possible, then couldn't you get a donor (in theory) or donate one eye, and keep one? Just throwing that out there
In such a case, very noble thing, I was thinking Romeo and Juilet. And I did watch the video, how would I know he was blind at the end if I didn't? (I guess we all miss the obvious from time to time )
