Are you in Egypt? Here in Canada it's a pretty rare sight. That's the point of the thread.

this is so true it's ridiculous. reminds me of when I was a kid and my toughest decision on a summer day was whether i'd get a coke or tahiti treat in a glass bottle.

People have great points about beverages in glass being better then plastic, but it's Pepsi... coke is nasty as all hell.

How often are you there? Just wondering before I make that trek I'd like to be sure they were the 355 ml ones; not the 237 ml ones.
The 237 ml ones are pretty much everywhere now. The problem is you feel like you are rationing it.

Sunterra Keynote at 12th Ave and 1st Street SE. Check 'em out. They carry a lot of local products and lesser known brands.

When I was a student, I used to work at a Brewery during the summer. I worked on the bottling line. If you could see some of the disgusting stuff that comes through in the recycled bottles, you'd never drink out of a bottle again.

I actually called the BC bottler of Coke and they were almost creeped out by the fact I called them for Cherry Coke syrup or cases of the stuff.

Coke tastes a hundred times better in glass. Seemed to be coming back in style a few years back then I stopped seeing them in stores again. Good luck.

I work at coke. 237 ml glass is available at most retail stores. The 355ml is currently available for restaurants / cafe's.

Was just about to post that.
Vanilla coke is amazing.
They still have it in the States, hopefully it comes back to Canada.

Oh I absolutely love the stuff. Whenever I'm in the States I make sure I have as much as possible. There's actually a 7-11 by Crowchild and Memorial that has some in fountain drinks!

The fountain is pretty risky. Some places screw with the water:syrup ratio and never clean out the lines.
Maybe I just don't remember what Coke with sugar tastes like, but I still prefer Pepsi.

I love Coke out of a glass bottle. Always make sure I stock up on the 355ml bottles when I am in Montana. They sell them in cases at the Costco stores down there.
I have never been much of a Pepsi fan, but I discovered "throwback" Pepsi down in Montana this summer as well. It is the old classic Pepsi can design that many would recognize from the 80's and its made with real cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup...it was amazing. Brought a few cases home with me. I will nurse them through the winter and hope they make another appearance in the spring/summer.
The US always seems to get this good stuff and we get the regular garbage. :-(
