Good thing our division is terrible, otherwise the playoffs would be a longshot (Miami is 6-5 and are in a way worse spot then the Colts and Jags who are also 6-5 because NE and the Jets are 9-2) . Way too many injuries to overcome this year as well. I still think Indy will make the playoffs but definitely are not the team to beat like in year's past.

Dolphins are gauranteed some help next week however, as Pitts and Baltimore square off with a 99% chance of one team losing. The problem is Miami doesn't hold any head to head tie breaks. They would need a 3 way tie in a wildcard spot to have a shot.
The jets playing NE means one of those teams will go down to 3 losses and Miami gets another crack at those teams which if they win the game of that one they'd have at least 4 losses and split the season series.
There is hope in Miami just not alot.
No mention the Jets still Play Pitts. There is some tough games ahead especially for the Jets hopefully they'll collapse and fall back to the pack.

Well I guess the bright side for the Eagles is that they've gone through the toughest part of their schedule and sit at 7-4. Their remaining opponents have a combined record of 19-25, and 3 of those games are at home. 11-5 should lock up the division.

He didn't seem to start the fight to me.
Real POS play to punch someone while they are down and with their helmet off.

As Sowa and the resident Titans fan can attest (I have no idea who it is) I am no Titans fan, but even I can say what are you talking about?
Johnson was fully responsible for that and should get a big suspension as he was by far the biggest jerk there.
Finnegan's reaction was exactly what you should do when the other guy acts like an idiot. Clapping and smiling is a hell of a lot better than taking cheap shots at a guy after ripping his helmet off.

The fact that Finnegan did the exact same thing on several plays and was never called for a PF (hands to the face) lays responsibility for the event mostly on the shoulders of the officials.
No question Johnson should be suspended, but the officiating crew never should have let things go that far.

I think both guys should be suspended one game....and they should be suspended for the Titans/Texans game in 3 weeks.

That may make for some good, but overhyped, theater/storylines. That really isnt what the NFL needs however. Stuff like this needs to go away as fast as it can, and Goodell is the guy that trumpets it the most.
Both guys need to be disciplined. Finnegan has been fined twice already this year, so he is repeat offender. All suspensions arent equal IMO. This week the Texans are playing Thursday night, on the road, against the Eagles. Titans are at home on Sunday to Jacksonville. If they were to be suspended this week for a game, who gets hurt more? If you suspend them both for the remaining game against one another, both suspensions are equal and you avoid the media nonsense that is sure to preceed that game if they are playing.
Just my $.02.

Finnegan has a reputation of being a pretty dirty player, and the Titans defence as a whole isn't exactly revered as the most sportsman like group. I have no doubts that Finnegan was doing something to set Johnson off all the way through the game. It's been mentioned that the officials should have been enforcing things a lot more stringently between those two earlier so that it wouldn't escalate into this type of situation. Of course Finnegan is going to turtle and walk away...Johnson would absolutely kill him if he took on the challenge of a fight.
I don't know what it is with the Titans, but this is looking like a team who's gone into complete dissarray. 4 weeks ago this was a 5-2 team with a big early lead in San Diego and looking like a top team in the AFC. Now they're looking like a team who might win 6 games.

Apparently Finnegan yelled "Watch this" to the Texans bench before the play that got him kicked out. I have no doubt he knew what he was doing.
Doesn't matter now, neither will get suspended. Just the regular $25,000 fine for both.

Can't believe Atlanta is that good...
Johnson and Finnegan shoulda' been hockey players...
I was watching some wolf blitzen and he was reviewing the footage from the NFL scuffle, but what struck me as interesting was what he said, "They are playing the wrong sport, if they were playing hockey there wouldn't be a problem."
I found it interesting because with the success of the the Thrashers and the potential they are showing, what 23 Andre Johnson was a hockey prospect?
6'3 230 and crazy fast... if he had hands, and was good on his edges he could have been ovechkin' like.
Cornheiser, was saying that it strikes him as strange that the NFL's network game of the week is featuring the Texans and Johnson receives no suspension for that behavior which has been dealt with in similar fashions but with suspensions accompanying fines...

The entire division has a losing record. Even the team that loses tonight, still has a longshot chance of winning the division.

The AFC South with a slight better record is also looking like nobody wants to win it.
