I couldn't even come close to guessing what channel MM is now on shaw. I lived most of my young adult life switching between MuchMusic and MusiquePlus. Pepsi Power 30, Too Much 4 Much specials, Weird Al takeovers, The Wedge.

Only some? I still have 27 VHS tapes full of just videos dating back to maybe '85. First started on my folk's good 'ol top loader with the "remote" that had a damn wire and all it did was pause.

I actually have a massive custom built shelf in my bedroom that holds around around 400 VHS and casette tapes. Might be an outdated medium but them still play!

I dont think i've cared about the channel for at least a decade. At least. Their target demographic obviously changed to something like 14 and younger.

But when I was growing up it was a great source for music. What a novel concept.

Pretty much.

MTV and Munch are doing the smart thing and moving on from music videos. It just doesn't work with the internet and youtube here.

Smart for Much would of been 7 years ago, now I think it may be more obvious!

I used to depend on MuchMusic for their "Concert Listings" to find out who was rolling through, just a quick 15 second clip as they went to or came back from commercials.

Somehow we found out about all the shows through word of mouth/the newspaper before the internet, weird.

Does anyone know the name of that heavy metal show (not on Much) that took place in some lady's basement? A bunch of headbangers would sit on a couch and introduce a new video, one guy wore a Eddy mask (iirc). That was on in the early 80's.

Short Bus I think it's called.

I don't think youtube killed it, I think they killed it themselves by following MTV's format. It's too bad cause it was a artform, but there's a whole generation that have grown up without music on a music channel, so I guess they don't know what they're missing.

That's correct and it's on Netflix. Not that I'd know...

To be honest, Sook was better when some was left to the imagination. That's all I'm going to say. The movie is quite erotic and homoerotic. Was a bit much at times...

I didn't even know Much Music was still around. So many good memories from the 80's/90's.

What's the point of being called "MuchMusic" then? Shouldn't it be "SomeMusic, and Frankly As Little as We Can Get Away With"?
