Only in the east would there be a news story about the loss of 39 jobs.

I had no idea that Paddockwood was even outside of the province, thanks for the heads up, next time I am in town I know where to head.

While Duff Beer comes in several varieties, it is revealed on a Duff Brewery tour in "Duffless" that regular Duff, Duff Light, and Duff Dry are the same beer, although Homer and Barney apparently remain oblivious to the fact

This is closer to the truth than you think.

Pike IPA is available at Willow Park if anybody wanted to buy some.

It's only a secret to people who have never had a real IPA.

Well it could be worse - they could be like Saskatchewan and Pilsner.

Pilsner was first brewed in Lethbridge (under the name Alberta Pride no less) and is now owned by Molson and brewed in Edmonton and Vancouver.

The beer literally has no history in Saskatchewan, but somehow an entire province has bought into the marketing scheme that it's a local product and guzzles it by the litre.

Do I need to resign from CP, or is a ban coming shortly?

Resigning from CP is only a start. You should just lock yourself in your room.

Bah Propeller, its all about Garrisons! This coming from not much of an IPA fan however... (does Garrisons even have one?)

It does bug me that Keith's labels itself as an IPA when it isn't seemingly close. Try a real and good IPA like propeller, dogfish head 60-90 and then you will see how jaw droppingly different it is. Just a huge misrepresentation that irks some of us I guess.

I agree on the Garrisons, they have Tall Ship which is the closest I think

In fairness, it's been labelled as an IPA since what, 1820? I doubt the definition was standardized back then. Should they have to change it after nearly 200 years?

If it was brewed that way today, no way it'd be an IPA. Regardless I still love it.

No, they probably shouldn't have to change it. I think the part that bothers me is just that it is so widespread that people often don't realize how different it is from other IPA's...and might assume that it is actually a good example of that type of beer. Won't someone think of all the other IPA's?

the irony is that they are brewing Keith's in Creston to fill up capacity that was lost when they shipped production of Kokanee to the east. anyone see the prices coming down on brewskis because of these so called economies of scale? anyone reporting better beer?

2 fine brands wrecked by bean counters and marketers.

anyone long for the good old days of consumption being limited to the province of brewing?

I prefer tartar-control Duff myself.

I didn't realize how popular it seems to be on CP, I think it is one of the worst beers. (and no I don't think Molson is the best)

To each their own.

I grew up drinking Kokanee and Keiths. To me, there is no other beer I'd rather drink

I like Lucky too though.
