Real score the first off a freekick from a pathetic dive by Pedro Leon...

Days like today when I wish that the rumour that Liverpool made an attempt to get Mario Gomez on loan came through. I rag like hell on Gomez, but he has has been playing outstanding lately.
2 goals for Bayern over Roma.

Is Arsenal's entire team on yellows? Wow, that looks more like a Rugby game from the stats linel, almost 40 fouls in that game.

Arsenal loss here would be massive, Shaktar is winning and would go top of the group and only need a draw in their last game at home vs Braga to stay there
if the standings stay the same in the other groups Arsenal would have to go against one of Barca, Madrid, Bayern, or Lyon because the other 3 english teams are in first right now
3 of those 4 would not be favorable for them

Ugh. It looks like Spurs could be without Rafa and Bale tomorrow.

The only joy the Champion's League brings me is Schadenfreude.

haha
Madrid took two deliberate red cards at the end of the game, Ramos and Alonso, so they are suspended for a meaningless game (they have clinched 1st) and have a clean slate for the knockout stages

I think Bale plays, doubt Rafa does
but they means they go a 4-4-2 with Defoe back
Bremen are missing a bunch of guys as well and they don't really care about the game since they are out of it, so it should be a back and forth one and I think Spurs have more talent and probly win something like 3-1
Massive game, if they match Inter they finish 1st in the group and get a much easier draw for the knockout stages

Harry is saying that Defoe probably won't start. If Keane is fit I wouldn't mind having him play the Rafa role in a 4-4-1. Kranjcar could probably fill it in a pinch, too.

Yep with the loss by Arsenal, Shakhtar clinch 1st in the group now if they get a point against Partizan (who have 5 losses in 5 matches so far)

Didn't see that, just read this morning him saying Defoe will play a part but they hadn't decided whether it was as a sub or to start
I would prefer Modric there instead of Keane
do like a 4-2-3-1
with Bale----Modric----Lennon playing behind the striker and Jenas and Palacios as more defensive
thats assuming Bale is fit though, if hes not it could be something like
Modric----Kranjcar/keane (perfer Kranjcar)----Lennon

I'd rather have Sandro in than Jenas. Jenas is terrible.

ya but Sandro wasn't with the team in time to get registered, or else I would completely agree with you
although I think Jenas has improved a bit this year he is still the 5th best CM on the team at this point

He doesn't need to go anywhere, but hopefully this is a wakeup call to him that this team needs to be ACTIVE during the transfer market.
If Vermaalen's injury is season ending, you need another experienced CB. And lord knows I'm just waiting to see the real Fabianski as he's been good the past few weeks. GET ANOTHER KEEPER!!
