I have purchased iTunes cards both through the Apple Store and through Superstore and both allowed me to buy apps.

Seconded here. Grabbed some iTunes cards from Safeway, and they work with apps now.

I have to re-up my MobileMe subscription in the next 30 days. I have a feeling apple will announce free MobileMe the day after I buy it.

I don't like putting micro transactions like these on my credit card. It's easier to keep track of spending with gift cards. It helps cut down on impulse purchases when you have a constant visual of how much money you have left in your iTunes account.

I do it when I find them on sale. 7-11 has them for 10% off and Co-op recently offered a free $10 gift card when you bought $50 in iTunes cards.

Question for my fellow iPhone peeps. Do you use a screen protector? Why or not why? If you do, where did you get it and would you recomend it?

No. For the same reasons I don't wrap my sofa or my junk. I'm not so old I feel a need to wrap sofa's in plastic, and everyone knows it feels better without any protection.
Kidding aside, I can't stand the drag that any kind of film on the touch screen adds.

The iPhone 4 is very resistant to fingerprints and scratches. I know people who have have had it since it first came out and only use the bumper and it's been fine. So far so good for mine too. I see no reason to spend extra money on something like that. Hell, the bumper is more than I've ever done to protect a phone I've had before, and the main reason was because I was able to easily drop reception without it.

The bumper covers the edges of the glass, and also keeps the back glass up off the surface you put the phone down on. In these two regards, I feel like it protects the two most important sources of failure (scratches from sliding on a surface, and edge impacts to the glass that could cause cracking), without going to the extremes of a full on case.

I find the iPhone 4's glass softer than the 3G's was for sure, so while I never had a screen protector on my 3G I have one on my 4 after getting a few scratches.

I use the Ultra Crytsal and have been pretty impressed with it, doesn't drag as much as others and looks quite good. I've heard the Ultra Oleophobic one is even better.

Good points. The rubber edges do collect every piece of lint and whatnot in my pockets though. I kinda wish they kept the whole thing plastic so I could also grab it out of my pocket more easily.

Yeah, I noticed this too the other day. I carried my 3GS in my pocket for a year without getting any marks on the screen... my 3 month old 4 already has some very light scratches on the screen.

Yes, this drives me nuts. Every time I pull my phone out of my pocket, the whole inside of my pocket comes with it.

I don't. I don't like the feel and I've never managed to scratch my screen. You just have to be very careful with what pocket you put it in.
edit: This is with a 3GS.

Or where you choose to slam down your PS3 controllers, uh, I mean 'a textbook feel on it'.
