The Chicken Wing Thread
I can't believe there isn't a chicken wing thread.... did a search and couldn't find one anyway.
So let this be it.
I will post some reviews a the next few days.
What I am looking for is a place, in the south (at least south of Southland Dr) that has a wing special on a Thursday night.
Post some reviews. I seem to recall reading some years ago on here but as I said, I can't seem to find the thread.

You could try Shuckalucks in Braeside. Just north of Anderson and 24th St. They have a Monday and Thursday wing night for 25 cents. Pretty decent wings, never awesome but never bad either. Just a nice middle of the road wing.
If you want more selection you could go to the Rusty Cage (Old Studio 82) near Heritage and Macleod. The have something like 40+ flavours to choose from.

Moose McQuire's (sp?) has great wings. I think they deep fry them first then throw them on the grill for good measure.
I also like Brewsters' wings.

Ed's used to be THE place to go for wings in the 1980s. The triple suicide wings were hazardous.

I go nearly every week for cheap wings. Use hotwings.ca to check which places have cheap wings on which day.

Mondays at Dixon's (17 cents) on macleod and Thursdays at the Riverbend Station (25 cents) are my weekly ones. The Stations wings are only okay. I like Hudsons wings (wing nights Wednesday, 25 cents) but rarely ever go early enough to get a seat. The new one on macleod is packed everynight. Me and a friend have free wings for a year there but haven't used our weekly coupons once yet.
Rusty cage has 50 different flavors, 25 cent wings Saturday and Thursday I believe but I don't think they're too good. The Kings Head has 9 cent wings on Wednesdays. We're not allowed there anymore, the wings suck anyways. +1 for brewsters wings, not sure if they have a wing night.
Related question: what are the best bars in the SW with pool tables? Pools the main reason we go to the Station, Rusty Cage also has a couple upstairs. The French Maid has free pool and the hideout there is pretty chill, but beer and a cover charge add up quickly there, and you can't get pitchers.

moose maguires has 2 or 3 pool tables.
and seconded for their wings. grilled wings are the best!
regal beagle for salt and pepper wings.
has anyone been to donegals for wing nights?
1cent wings on mondays i think. Theyve got some real good deals! If I recall correctly, thursdays are 3.95 steak sandwiches!
pretty nice pub too, there's a lot of semi-private booths, each with a TV inside.

You want to find Wing Nights in Calgary? They have every wing night in the city listed by date, as well as price and flavours. Reviews as well.
Personally, I love Moose McGuire's. The beer is cheap, the wings are cheap, and it's always a good atmosphere. Been doing Wing Nights there for the last 3 years or so.

$15, what a rip. Go to a place with 15 cent wings and you can get 100 for that. I doubt there are many who eat more than 100 for one person.

The only charged us once for my buddy and I, so it was really only $7.50 for all we can eat

Home made wings are the best. Costco sells some of the best wings ever.

Fully cooked ones or the frozen Pinty's brand ones? I've grown tired of the Pinty's wings. Their buffalo chicken bites on the other hand... so good.
Or did you mean raw, skin on wings? If so then yes, Costco has a very good butcher shop.

Hottest I've had in the city are the Unicorn's Hell Fires. I like my deathly hot suicide wings but these were on a whole new level of anything I've experienced in the city. Any other suggestions?

The frozen ones. They are real good and taste better than a lot of restaurant's wings IMO. Haven't got sick of them yet.

I had some wings at Hudson's taphouse on Wednesday a couple of weeks ago and I was quite happy with them.

For suicide wings? You could try the volcano wings at the Bull and Finch. They're so hot they only bring you 3 at a time. I would rate these as unpleasantly hot.
For a more palatable suicide wing, you could try the Johnny Cash wings at the Rusty Cage. They're very hot, but still enjoyable. Beware though, these Johnny Cash wings will indeed give you a ring of fire.
