I actually thought the Navritalova was the worst one so far. Maybe it was the subject matter that was boring.
I loved the Vladdy Divac (sp?) one. Now that was moving.

The Two Escobars is my favourite. Mostly because I remember following Colombia in qualifying for the USA World Cup and couldn't understand how they fell apart in the Finals. Now 16 years later, the documentary explains why.

Agreed. The Two Escobars was my favourite. As a film itself I think it was the best made, plus the subject matter was just too interesting.
Once Were Brothers with Divac was my next favourite. Again, a story that transcends the sport.
Third would be The U. However I missed the Terry Fox one, so that would probably be up there.

The U was good but it left a bad taste in my mouth because it seems to promote the idea that athletes can do whatever they want.
When all the criminal activity was brought up the only guy who didn't just blame it on racism was Michael Irving. He seemed proud of the fact that many of them were criminals but at least he didn't just blame it on racism.
I thought it was a great doc though, don't get me wrong. I just think they glorified some of the darker parts of the U instead of addressing how much of an impact on the sporting world that glorifying criminals has had on subsequent generations of athletes.

I've watched a couple... the one on the Kirkland (Seattle) Little League team, and the Vlade Divac/Drazen Petrovic one. Both were extremely well done.

Just finished it. Wow, very powerful. I'm not a follower of the NBA and I had wondered why I'd never heard of Petrovic. What a sad and well told story.

The SMU 30 for 30 was pretty damn good. As someone who was 7 when the "death penalty" was handed down to them it was cool too see. Man they got rocked by the NCAA.

I really didn't like this one. To me it just didn't work and I didn't see the connection between Tyson and Tupac.
I loved Dupree, Two Escobars, the OJ one was a really interesting take, the Rugby one, the little league world series one was really interesting.
I though Terry Fox was well done but not really that different from other Terry Fox documentaries but good on Nash for spreading the story do the US.
I think I will purchase all of these once they are all out. Some of the best sports documentaries ever.

My favourite was probably winning time. That spike lee/reggie miller feud was epic and something that so many people remember and it was basically a meaningless series.

When I got to Zagreb this year I'm going to lay some flowers at Drazzen's grave. I'm still touched by that documentary whenever I watch snippits on my PVR

Just reading through this thread, I've had the Divac and Dupree ones collecting dust on my PVR for awhile now, sounds like I need to give em a watch.
I haven't seen many, but so far my favourites are the Terry Fox one, and The Two Escobars. And agreed that the Marion Jones one was a joke, talk about slanted storytelling.
