I love having a son, he is 4 tomorrow and I am reliving a lot of my childhood with him. We routinely watch DVDs of:
Seasons 1-3 of The Transformers
Seasons 1-3 of G.I. Joe
Multiple Season of Scooby-Doo (including the new one, Mystery Incorporated - this one is a bit scary for him)
Season 1 & 2 of the X-Men
Playing with Hot Wheels
Playing with my old transformers and GI Joe action figures
Playing with my old Space Lego *this now a daily event again*
Something I do miss that I now know was a favorite this of my childhood is being able to sit cross-legged for hours watching cartoons, then just jumping up and running outside to play - without any knee or back pain.
Playing OUTSIDE with my friends...often with homemade wooden guns and bow and arrows.
Going to the movies, watching a double header WITH cartoons before the movie...for 25 cents.
Playing outdoor pickup hockey at the local rink until it was too dark out to see the puck....then doing it again the next day and the next.....
Playing OUTDOOR Street Hockey when the ice melted...until it was too dark to see.
Going to the OUTDOOR swimming pool and lazing away the hot summer days.
Going to my Grandparents farm and playing OUTDOORS with the animals and hiking on overnighters with cousins typical to the movie " Stand By Me", but without the dead human body.

Sitting cuddled up on my mum's lap - her with a bowl of porridge (for herself) and her giving me all the best cool bits from the edge of the bowl. (So what if I still did this when I was 20!).
Things I miss from childhood, in no particular order....
1. Hanging out with my Dad, building stuff (Furniture, model rockets, RC Cars, etc).
2. The carefree lifestyle.....no bills.
3. School. I hated some classes, but I loved others. Only possible thanks to item #2.
4. Transformers. A great cartoon, and well built toys. (Same goes for He-Man)
5. LEGO, LEGO and a little bit more LEGO.
6. Street Hockey for 2 or 3 hours a night, every night.
Leaving childhood was generally my favourite thing about childhood but . . . . . . a giant cake mix bowl filled with Puffed Wheat, milk and sugar - and not understanding lactose intolerance - was a favourite thing.
I had a shortwave radio and liked to listen to Radio Cuba during the Vietnam War, hearing about the 30 B-52's that had been shot down that day. Always comical and bold.
Mud was fun.
Really, I don't remember much about childhood and rarely think about it at all. My brother and sister, on the other hand, remember everything and treasure those memories. They bring stuff up and I have no idea what they're talking about even though, apparently, I was there.
Hahaha . . . . . that's me on the left, with two babes (cousins). Yeah, we were fairly poor.

My dad would never buy us this cereal as kids because he said no picture of Wayne Gretzkey was going to be in his house.

Oh, and I miss arcades like Easystreet, Lazer Illusions, and Wizards Castle. Back then, every mall had an arcade. I used to spend hours in there. I loved playing the original Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 1 and 2.
Going to my grandparent's cottage for the summer and winter holidays. Going to their banya in the winter time. Jumping off of the roof of their barn into a giant mound of snow.
