CP Christmas Shinny anyone? ( come laugh at an American) *A couple pics added*
Location: The location of the rink is the NW corner of 78th Avenue and Centre Street North
Right now the price is $7.50 a player. I would bring 10 bucks just in case some people dont show. We need to be paid before we step on the ice so lets try to shoot for being there 30-40 minutes early please. We can not use credit cards because the main office will not be open and we will be paying the maintenance man. Here is the Teams ... Obviously team dark jersey will be wearing dark jerseys and team light jerseys will be wearing light jerseys. General census is we will be in full pads . Am I forgetting anything ? Here are the teams...
Team Dark Jerseys:

Edit: We will be doing it at Huntington Hills on Dec 28th from 1230- 2pm. The total cost is right at 150$ . We will just split by how many people show. I would like to get 15 or 16 people plus the goalies... Do you guys think more or less people? If we want to play on Monday Dec 27th also, we can do that for the same price! Let me know!

Ok guys I am just finalizing my annual Christmas trip . As most of you know I just got into hockey and I want to take full advantage of the time I have in Calgary to play some real hockey.
I am in town from Dec23rd- Jan 1st . I have contacted a few rinks about renting ice . Right now we can get Dec 27th from 1230p -2:00pm for pretty cheap at Huntington Hills . Can anyone play then ? I really wanna play at least around noon on Dec 28th because a friend can only play that day. I can play 2 or 3 days.
Anyone else in? We can get a few guys and make it really cheap on us. Suggestions on rinks ? I will contact them and ask for times. Let me know!
Obviously we dont want 30 guys out there I dont really know what you guys consider full pick up games. We usually do well with 8-10 guys each side ...

I am a tough son of a B! Plus , I only get a chance to freeze my balls off once a year playing hockey, might as well be at Jay-bo's shinny. Will there at least be hot cocoa?

Hey nicker, we hitting up Pete's again while you're in town?
Forget shinny, we should get Aeneas to organize us some Sno-Pitch!

LOL I havent played ball in a while but I will play. Been focusing all my efforts on hockey so I can finalize my assimilation into Canadian culture. I am sure however I can still play a little, very little!
However I will do Pete's again... the question is will you? I think you stood us up last year. some cockamamie story about a fever or something.
DOH! I did just look up the only Sunday I am in town and it is Boxing day. Will Pete's still be open? I am sure people need to get drunk on boxing day, and its not boxing day in estonia so topless honey wrestling should be on!

If you have the space for one at the huntington hills location I would play. What are the equipment requirments at the rink for Shinny?

Im gonna be honest , I will prob wear everything but a chest protector. Reason being is I still fall some and I dont want to hurt my ass or elbows when I fall .... I shot the lady an email at huntington Hills. I guess I better start a running list of players so we arent too full.
Any Goalies ?

Brilliant, I skate slow too.....
Here is what they wrote back on equipment ...
Nick,
Even if it is shinny it is always best to have full equipment. Anyone under the age of 18 years of age MUST have full gear. Anyone over 18 playing shinny must have at least a helmet on. No helmet No shinny.
Other than the helmet it is consumers choice however, Huntington Hills Community Recommendation is for Full Gear and we are not responsible for any injuries that may occur.
.... Damn Legal Disclaimers!
