Jackson is Chilly's guy so he's no lock to be a starter when the new head coach takes over.

Who is available next season? Donovan McNabb? (Although his agent opened up contract talks again with Washington today). Michael Vick?

So far, so good.

Hopefully the Pats can hold onto this lead.

Brady has really let himself go.

And by himself, I mean his hair.

I'd like to see if Jackson has anything this season but I don't really have high hopes that a new coaching staff will inherit Chilly's QB project.

With Childress shown the door, I'm sure Jackson won't have much of a leash at all.

What are they going to do at QB? I have no idea, but I hope they get one that can be the future QB of this team and not just use veteran quarterbacks for the foreseeable future.

Some wacky playoff matchups in the AFC if the playoffs started today (can't do NFC since Philly vs Washington play tomorrow).

AFC:

Byes: 1. NY Jets (7-2), 2. Baltimore (6-3)

(6) Pittsburgh (6-3) @ (3) Indianapolis (6-3)
(5) New England (7-2) @ (4) Oakland (5-4)

These will change for sure as all of these teams still have 9 games to go and 4 to 5 other teams still are right there to get in the playoffs.

Apparently Todd Haley was upset about how the Broncos played the second half. He refused to shake McDaniels' hand after the game.

I never watched the game, how did the Broncos play the 2nd half? I saw it was like 35-0 in the 2nd quarter and they finished with 49 points. So I don't think they ran up the score?...

They had a few passes here and there from what I recall, but I'm not sure why that would upset him? I stopped watching the game about 5 mins before the game finished though, so many something happen then?

Pats played lights out the whole game and made the Steelers look bad.
Brady proving once again he is among the best of the best.

The whole thing is likely explained here........

Quote:
Denver still had its starters in late in the contest, and it continued passing even with a comfortable lead.

The Chiefs had a chance in last season's finale, which Kansas City won 44-24, to leave its starters in and allow running back Jamaal Charles to pursue the NFL's single-game rushing yards record. Instead, the Chiefs pulled Charles with 259 yards, 37 shy of Adrian Peterson's record. The Chiefs removed most of their starters in that game after the score was out of Denver's reach.

It was clear Sunday that Kansas City took exception to the fact that Denver didn't afford the Chiefs the same courtesy Sunday.

All that tells me is that they should have tried to get Charles the record last year and now the HC feels like an idiot. IMO when you are a bad team like the Broncos you should continue to go 100% to install confidence. If Haley didn't like it he should be mad at his defense for not stopping the Broncos starters.

Another thing that's annoying with this is that the Chiefs continued to throw the ball to the sum of over 400 yards. I don't get why his starters should get to continue to go 100% and the Broncos throw in their backups and punt the ball every posession just because they got a big lead early. To me it's one of those things that you always learn more about people when things go bad as opposed to things going well. Haley is a hot head and a baby. I'm sure they are one more loss away from him starting to berate his players on the sideline like he did last year.

It's all good. More hate between division rivals can't hurt!

Yeah, lost some money on this game unfortunately. Oh well, so long as the Steelers get into the playoffs i'll be happy with this season. They wen't 3-1 without Roethlisberger which was way better than I expected.

+1. These guys are professionals, if you don't like it, STOP THEM. Frankly, any time you can bury a divisional opponent you do it. If the flames took the gas off, particularly against the canucks, oilers, avalanche or Wild i'd be furious.
