Go for the Banff Springs, staying there is an experience unto itself.

We stay in Canmore. Cheaper than Banff, and not very far to travel to get to Banff.

I'll be at the Banff Springs for the weekend of Dec 11th smurfing it up, because you have to be a smurf to fit in the rooms...Which is why Ducay is cool with it

Not near Banff, in BC, but if you want a "cabin" type place, this one is more secluded than anything, but its amazing (also more $$ then either Banff springs or Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise).

The Rimrock was really nice, but it is a little bit up the hill. We also stayed at the Mount Royal Hotel once, and despite being right in the middle of the fun on Banff Avenue, the walls are paper thin. You could hear conversations in the hallway and the couple in the room next to us went at it three (yes, 3) times that night. If I ran into the guy in the hallway the next day I was going to give him a high-five.
Storm Mountain Lodge is near the BC border just a few minutes from Lake Louise. They are old CPR huts that workers stayed in while building the railway I believe. Pretty expensive for what they are, but pretty rustic and fun. The restaurant there was also very good.

Baker Creek cabins on the Bow Valley Parkway in between Banff and Lake Louise is a great spot. I'd recommend that place for sure.

Agree 100%
You can get a room twice the size with twice the goodies for a lower price and only have to drive 10 minutes.

Where in Canmore do you stay? Hotel? Cabin? Any names of places you recommend?

This. I've stayed in the "Deluxe Trappers' Cabin" twice and it was awesome.

If you are willing to stay in Canmore, I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We got married there last Halloween and the stay was awesome.

As mentioned the Bear and Bison Inn is fantastic, I also have stayed at the Georgetown Inn 3 or 4 times as well, the Victoria room is great with a lady friend to come back to after doing some hiking/skiing.
Rundle Cliffs has some amazing rooms but is group orientated. The cost is also very very high, when it comes to cost Canadian Rockies Chalets are a better option but not as impressive.

What rooms did you guys stay in when you went to the Bear and Bison? I'm thinking about taking the girl somewhere in Banff or Canmore for our anniversary in a couple weeks.
We're looking for something romantic and as relaxing as possible. Possibly with jacuzzi or hot-tubs in close vicinity.
Thanks
Jason

We rented the entire place for the wedding. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the rooms. The Bear and Bison has a hot tub outside of the rooms that are on the ground level.

Anyone else have any other suggestions for places to stay or rooms?
Thanks for everyone's responses so far!
