Falcons win 26-21. Falcons are now 7-2, Ravens are 6-3. Both of these teams are very solid and could do damage in the playoffs. Glad that Thursday night games are back!

Pretty bad officiating when you call PI one way but not the other.

Pretty frustrating game.
Not sure what I am more pissed about. The non-call on the PI or only calling one guy on the facemask which handed the Falcons a 1st down deep in Ravens territory.
Ravens weren't good, but the fact that the Falcons only had 5 penalty yards is a joke.

I'll take it a win helps the fish and I have both White and Ryan on my fantasy team, huge game by them tonight.

One thing you should notice is old man ref Winter never reverses challenges and always favours the home team. And he can never spit out his words properly. Store this info for next time you see him.
Just $%#&% I noticed :P

I'll disagree with you here. I thought both teams were pretty weak.
Baltimore's defense can't stop anything. A team proves that they're champions by stopping teams with 2 minutes left and they let Atlanta drive 80 yards fairly easily (yes there were bad calls).
Atlanta isn't great either and can only win in the playoffs if they're at home. They go on the road to a good team they'll get destroyed.
I hadn't seen either team that much coming into tonight, but seeing this game, they were both unimpressive. It was a real sloppy game.

Guess what...thats pretty much what Thursday football tends to be. Two teams with short weeks leaving them with next to no prep time. In this case it's two teams who don't know each other very well either.
As much as I like having the option to watch a Thursday night football game, it would make for a better product if they'd get rid of them. At this point in the year players need a full week to recover. You just don't get classic Thursday night football games.
These are both pretty good football teams, and if Atlanta can get home field for the playoffs, they'll be in the NFC Championship game at the worst and have a real shot to be in the Superbowl.

Ravens were jobbed on that last drive, blatant holding on the first play of the drive not called, iffy sideline catch, and obvious offensive PI on the TD. I hate to wish ill on people, but hopefully Theisman and Millen get some sort of non fatal blood poisoning that keeps them in the hospital until the season is over.

Both these teams aren't perfect but have the tools to do damage in the playoffs. Clearly Baltimore wasn't at there best but they still had a shot to win. Atlanta has the talent and might not need to be on the road in the playoffs as they are sitting pretty at 7-2. Don't forget both these teams had 3 days to prep for this game. Not as much time as one would like.

That third down catch on the last Falcon drive should have been overturned. There's no way he kept possession all the way through.

I actually thought he did keep possesion, his one finger moved but the ball never left both hands. The PI call I've seen called at times and not at others. It kind of looked like the defender was falling anyways, the NFL network never showed a good angle I want an angle from behind the endzone before I make my opinion.

Yes perhaps. I forgot about the prep time for Thursday. But we've seen good Thursday games before haven't we?
I'll keep my eye out for the next few Thursday games and then reassess.
Next week is Bears-Dolphins!

I thought tonights game was purely entertaining. Miami could be sitting at 6-4 within a week and right in the playoff race or sitting on the outside looking in. One week from now we will know if Miami is in the playoff hunt still or not.

I thought the first half was exceedingly poor and the second half was fun but still sloppy.
Bears really suck, Dolphins should win easily or else they don't really deserve a playoff spot.
