Rioting in 2010
I considered posting this in the Funny/Cool thread, but decided it's a little too political and possibly "the funny part" will take a little more thinking than what that thread is for.
I wonder how many reporters realized how ridiculous the situation is.

Was this France or the UK? Both are rioting right now.

Breaking stuff, that'll show em!
I don't care what your cause is, if you think vandalizing other people's property is the solution for it, you're a moron.

To make it clear, what is funny to me is how there are about 20 reporters, a bunch of bobbies looking calmly from the background and 1 "rioter" (maybe a couple other, hard to tell).
Based on what I've heard (EDIT: yeah, I know quite a few "radicals"), this is pretty much how things tend to be. The reporters are there for the show, and this stuff tends to be what they focus on. Not the thousands (possibly tens of thousands) well-behaved people marching peacefully.
This is not a riot, it's a sad joke of a show.

If the above picture was from yesterday's student protests then the building being sacked is the Conservative party's HQ.

Again, if it was from yesterday then the police were outnumbered and waiting for reinforcements.

Actually, I think the man has co-opted rioting and turned it into a reality show as a way of neutering protest now. Look at how much media coverage there was for Toronto - how many people likely stayed home to gawk at 3 burning police cars rather than peacefully assemble out in public.
On top of that, the news outlets sold advertising time during their news broadcasts, turning a buck on the backs of the working class.
