The goal is to give more sun to the evening hours during the summer. It basically was introduced as an economic ploy for buisnesses that exploit the evening sun during the warmer months of the season. I think it was also argued that it cut down on electricity consumption after working hours, but that sounds a bit outragous.

Personally, I enjoy the light in the evening in the summer, I don't need sunlight in the morning when I'm off to work, I'd rather it after work when I can enjoy it.

"Falling back" makes it so that kids go to and from school in daylight. I don't like Standard Time, but I understand there's a good reason for it.

three cheers if nighttime is when you are the most productive. This just extends me feeling like getting studying done.

Same here. Like the early nights better. Don't feel like I'm wasting the day away. It's dark out so might as well watch tv and unwind.

Besides the sun's light gives me headaches in the summer and reflects of snow in the winter to do the same.

Curious. Morning light different then evening light?

One good thing about the time change is being able to photograph at night much, much earlier.

I for one, am looking forward to a ripping snow storm on a dark dark winter night. That one last year with the huge drifts was terrific. Howling wind, blowing snow, christmas lights flickering in the wind, it's great.

I'm kinda the same. It's neat that it can be light out till 1030 PM, but isn't really necessary.

Although it would be getting bright outside at about 4 AM. In this day and age though, don't think it's all that important.

Better idea for time: Let's knock off a half hour off everyday monday through thursday and add that time to friday and saturday.

23.5 hour weekdays
25 hour weekends.

Win - win.

I would prefer having that extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day. I loath when it's dark at 5 pm. Guess it's time to start taking the vitamin D pills for the lack of sunshine.

Respectfully disagree. An extra hour at night lets us city bound mountain folk get more out of our evenings. Nothing breaks up the work week better than being on top of a mountain at 9pm on a Tuesday and still having enough daylight to enjoy the trip down!
