Actually I think scoring in the OHL and Q is somewhat overrated but in the Dub...not so much.

Gallagher has 1 more goal but also has played 4 more games and is on a very talented team in Vancouver.

Howse will still pull away from Gallagher in a week or so.

Anyone keeping an eye on Patrick Holland. Seems like he's doing really well in Tri-Cities. Could be a late round gem?

its a long season. he needs to have a breakout year first before making any projections.

howse had his breakout season last season 72 points in 72 games.

now its just building on that and trying to get 110 - 120 points (thats if he gets play full season and doesnt make the canadian junior team) and 100 points if he does get to play on the canadian junior team.

Look at what Darcy Tucker did in the dub. Not saying it's easy to score, but its the juniors. If you're as good as Howse, you're suppose to score. He'll get 50 this year for sure.

Flames are running an article on Howse. Seems like a great young man who knows the meaning of character and dedication.

I can't wait to see Howse when Chilliwack visits Lethbridge on December 4th. I will post some observations...

He has a 58 second hat-trick against the Giants this year. Gotta love what he brings. Any chance the Flames are looking at acquiring his Chilliwack line-mates??? Czechs Roman Horak and Robin Sudek are his line-mates and both grew up together and played hockey.

Robin Sudek's stats -- I believe he is currently undrafted.
Roman Horak's stats -- Currently a NYR prospect.

This kid is awesome. Lets hope he crack the World Junior's team this year. He could add a good scoring punch on the wing

I haven't been to a Hurricanes game since Chris Phillips was a 'Cane... but I am seriously considering going to that game too

Count me in on that game as well! I marked this game on the calender as soon as the Hurricanes schedule came out.

Howse had a goal and an assist last night to lead Chilliwack over the powerhouse Portland Winterhawks. He was the 1st star in the game and had a number of nice offensive drives ( check out the hands at the 39 second and 1:28 mark ). His goal was at the 1:49 mark it was nice!

If Howse turned into a Darcy Tucker type NHLer I can't say that I would be very disappointed.

If Tucker had the type of shot that Howse possesses he'd be still playing. Tucker played on the best and highest scoring team in the dub, there was also far more scoring back then.

Tucker:
Season after drafted - 13.6% of teams goals
Last year of junior - 17% of teams goals

Howse:
Season after drafted - 21.8% of teams goals
This year - 20.9% of teams goals (so far)
