Default Pet moments

Too many times have I gone to the euthanasia and you thread only to leave with my eyes red, my heart heavy...

Then I figured...well, we have a funny & cool picture thread...why not have a pet/animal lover thread to share all the awesome that we come across either with our own pets or pets of others?

I can only hope that my dogs will be as good with kids as these two are.

That is a gorgeous dog, very pretty indeed.

I dressed my dog as Batman for Halloween this year. People thought it was strange that we dressed up our girl dog as Batman.

Yeah, the fact that the dog was a girl was a the reason people thought it was strange...

Excellent idea for a thread. The Simon's cat series is so funny.

My cat hates it when my head is obscured by a blanket. She tries to paw it down. It's cute because she doesn't use her claws.

German Shepherd is probably one of the best breeds in the world. They will always be my favorite pets (I had several growing up). If my lifestyle could afford more time, I would get one.

Shepherds are fantastic dogs, love'em.

My favourites are all nordic, long-muzzled dogs.

Keeper, who won't be with us much longer . . . . . wasn't loved in town for doing this but out in the country where she moved to be with us, well, barking at nothing, warning off imaginary villians, was a little more socially acceptable.

I know there are several other Shiba owners on CP, and I'm wondering if anyone else gets the Shiba Inu 500 once there's a good layer of snow.

As for pet moments, when we still had her, when we would call her in from the yard she'd come in nice and slow, let us wipe off her feet...and then proceed to sprint around the rocking chair in the living room. Mind you, she was a very big dog, and that's a very small space, always amazed me that she managed to do that without hitting anything.

Speaking of dogs, Cesar Millan is in Calgary this weekend. I know he's not for everyone but I'm a big fan of "The Dog Whisperer".

I don't get into celebrity worship. I even ignore most NHLers if I happen to run into them. However, I'm pretty excited to see Cesar.

I like him as well. But $139 for one ticket? Wow.

Oh, don't get me wrong I'm not interested in that either. I'm cheap above all else. I'm going to try to see him for free when he's at my local pet food store this weekend.

Stupid dogs, making me care so much.

I haven't been able to enter the euthanasia thread in years it seems, and even mostly positive threads like this one make me somber knowing that one of the best friends you will ever have in this lifetime will only be around for a fraction of your life.

I need a dog again.

it doesn't even take a good layer of snow for me to get the Shiba 500, just a light dusting on the ground works for him. I don't know he just loves the snow.
