good pickup for them, they lack a deep threat

probly really opens it up for CJ's run game as well

No doubt in my mind that Fisher is one guy that can control him.

This creates all kinds of match-up nightmares when playing that team.

With Johnson and Young as running threats, and a solid receiving core albeit weakened with Britt injured...this team just got better...even if Moss is a donkey.

Also...the Titans still have to play the Texans (32nd against the pass) twice and the Colts twice. Likely played a huge part in claiming Moss.

Well, Kenny Britt had really come on after he got the starting role and was looking like the go-to receiver but in the first quarter of the Chargers game he "heard his hamstring 'pop'" so is expected to miss a few weeks.

Bill Belichick though he could reign him in as well.

As I stated yesterday, I figured Tennessee would be one of the few teams interested. Solid pickup by them. Hopefully Miami can beat them in their next game and Indy can continue building on their run. Indy needs to open up a gap on Houston and Tennessee!

And he did for 2.5 to three seasons, and would have got an undefeated season out of the chemistry that Brady and Moss had.

No real risk for Tennessee, playing in a real tough division knowing that second might not be good enough for the Wild Card with the Ravens/Steelers/Patriots/Jets all looking really good.

They feel that he will help the team right now and if he becomes a distraction you gave nothing up to get him so you can just release him.

To me this is a good move for the Titans.

DeSean Jackson passes concussion tests and is cleared to practice. Still technically listed as questionable for Sunday, but I'd be shocked if he doesn't play.

He did. The only problem Moss had was when he wanted an extension from them and went public with it. Never heard a thing about him really when it came to the nonsense like this last week.

I think this means that Kenny Britt's hamstring is pretty bad, for the Titans to make this move. Will have to see if Fisher and Moss show up to a charity event on the weekend wearing Peyton Manning jerseys.

From what I have heard Britt will miss one game, maybe 2 but he will be fine. I think this speaks more about the lack of WR options this team has had for years. The fact that Nate Washington was Young's top target until Britt got hot says a lot about the lack of talent at WR. Now with Moss in the lineup, and when Britt comes back, it will open things up for CJ and Young to run, as well as create some space in the middle for Scaife to get more involved. Low risk high reward move.

CJ must be the happiest man alive right now. No more seeing 8/9 guys in the box.

People who are criticizing the moss pickup need to realize that he just has to show up to pull a safety out of the box.

Out at least 4 weeks according to Schefter.

Yes but with Moss you have to take his baggage as well. Is him pulling double coverage worth the potential issues in the locker room? Not saying it's a bad move by the Titans but if it was as simple as you make it seem he would still be a Patriot. Fisher is a much more established and stronger coach than Chilly so he should be able to manage Moss better. One thing for sure is that Moss better be on good behaviour on his 3rd team this year or he's not going to have much of a market for his services in the offseason.

And a league source says 6-8 weeks.

I am not defending Moss, never have. That being said, everywhere he has been sans Oakland, he has been considered an exemplary teammate. He has never divided locker rooms per se, but his issue has always been with management/coaches.

Belichik is just doing what he always does with a player that he considers to have spoken out of turn...get some value for him. As much is I am no fan of BB, he is simply the smartest guy in football right now. He knew he would never have re-signed Moss for the money wanted, and when RM spoke out about it the first 2 weeks of the season, he saw the perfect opportunity to move him without having to answer to the fan base.

All very true, and why I believe this will work out really well for the Titans. There is motivation from both parties to make him be the best he can be and then see where the chips fall after the season. Particularly good timing for Fisher with Britt out a good part of the rest of the season.
