Well, to be honest, I always thought Americans, in times of true need, set aside their differences and come together for the good of the country. Things are about as dark as they can get right now, and yet these people still refuse to get past the pettiness. I guess when you're a millionaire (which is seemingly a basic requirement of entering politics these days) the reality of the economic downfall doesn't really affect your life as directly, so the personal urgency just isn't felt.

And yeah, career politicians don't help....I guess I'm just not convinced a bunch of tea-partiers are the answer either. Guess we'll see...

I'm in the same boat, the only issue that I have is DUI or OWI. How will they test you while being high behind the wheel of a vehicle?

I really just want to use the tax from it.

Done here in Alabama we don't even have LOTTO. That's the devil, I want them to start Lotto and legalize gambling so the public school system can get some much needed money.

Some say the current gov. is in the pocket of the casinos in Mississippi, basically keeping gambling out of Bama so they can gamble in Miss.

Alabama is also one of the few states that taxes food items. To me that is just asinine.

TBQH, I really don't mind the "tea party". Most of the people are just firm believers in the constitution, they are fiscally conservative and are really what the Republican Party use to be.

They just like the other parties have a couple of idiots (palin and the other women) that make them all look like idiots. But I don't seem to hear anything about Pelosi, and Barny Franke...

LOL, the senate race in Colorado is interesting. They gave 30 to 40 K votes to the wrong person so they have to go back and double check. (It is only a 5 K difference at the moment).

Us as Americans, Someone needs to man up and just accept that they have failed us as elected officials to remedy the situation. Instead of pointing fingers they should try to get something done.

There's so much misunderstanding and stereotypes in this post, I don't even know where to start. All I can say is your comments are largely based on ignorance. Pick up a book on the matter and maybe you'll see.

Perfect or far from it, the basis and adherence to the US Constitution is far deeper and far more complex than your understanding.

I understand, but you're not dumb & either are most (key word most) of these Tea Party Constitution lovers. They know their history, once someone breaks the law in the constitution then when will it stop? Doing that has brought down empires; these people are scared the same things will happen here.

But if you get busted speeding tomorrow are you going to complain that the law isn't right? You might, but that doesn't change the fact that it's the law. The law is the law and shouldn't be "I will follow the rules that I like" law.

the right to bear arms is blown way out of proportion, go ahead and ban guns, the only people that will have them will be outlaws. Take the guns out of perfect law abiding citizens like myself and the thugs and gangsters will still have them since they were breaking the law in the first place.

Our police force in this country are full of a bunch of Chicken Sh*ts, they are scared to really crack down and do what is right, Most kids my age (25) had parents that either fought in Vietnam or were protesting it. Kids my age grew up basically never having to do something tough that they never wanted to do, but to do it because it just needs to be done. So that theory (just a thought) shows that people like our police are scared to go after these gangsters because it's going to be tough.

Gun violence isn't going to change if they outlaw guns, these gangs are still killing people now with illegal weapons now, so what's going to change if you outlaw weapons?

American Culture is just that much different than those countries that have gun control.

this is just an opinion, I'm getting pretty dang tired and need to go to bed, so it really sounded good at the moment.
