I go to good life, and I pay about 50+ a month for 2 years. There's quite alot of fine looking females that go. Most or some of the Stamps Cheerleaders workout there too.

62 a month for everything at Talisman Center. It's under reno right now, but once it's all done it will have 2 workout areas, 5 gyms, 2 pool, a running track etc etc.

Not a bad deal

About $60/month at Westside Rec with all of their facilities (pool, running track, climbing wall etc.).
I looked at Goodlife before joining, and Westside offered me better rates.

$67/month at Mt. Royal. It's a bit pricey, but it's a seriously awesome gym. Plus there's no contract.

ok, so the monthly rate would be in line with what you guys pay. minus all the goodies that talisman and westside has. the one in beacon hill nw is new, clean, close to home and not busy so thats why i am thinking of signing up. thanks for all the input guys!

I'm curious at what the average rate is for a personal trainer at one of these gyms/clubs. I have been debating about going to one because I get the discounts through work on membership.

The personal trainer that I had for my 6 free sessions at goodlife was asking for almost 4g's for 6 months. Worked out to be almost $500 a month. 3 days a week for about 1 hour and a half. I did not go for it because I was a cheapskate.. Hahah...

Huge thing to consider for me and worth a bit of extra $$ IMO.

On lazy days when motivation is difficult to find, or days where you're feeling a bit short on time, this can be the difference in dragging yourself there or wasting a day.

I pay $52 a month at Western Canadian Fitness downtown. Pretty mediocre gym, but its in my office and the convenience is worth it.
