Overall a great 1st half for the Colts.
Manning gets the ball to start the 2nd half. Going to be a big drive and points need to be put on the board.

That was just a weird half. A lot of weird calls, PI on Gonzalez was hardly needed.
Amazing the amount of players the Colts can lose ever year it seems, and how they can still find a way to win. Kudos to Bill Pollian, who may be the best Drafting GM of all time.

So close to punching it in. 27-10 Colts on the FG. This is usually where Houston turns it up. Colts defense needs to make amends from the last drive.

Time for Indy to force Derrick Ward or Andre Johnson to fumble multiple times.

Dang. Colts lead shrinks to 27-17 on a Foster TD. Colts offense needs to eat some clock and get some points on the board on this drive.

Man, the 4th string RB is in for the Colts. Javarris James (Edgerrin's cousin).
Vinatieri FG. 30-17 Colts with 7:20 left.

WOOT WOOT! Freeney forces the fumble and clinches the win. Colts win 30-17 and move into 1st in the AFC South with a 5-2 record. Early in the season but it was a must win game as Houston won the 1st game. Tough game next week now @ Philadelphia. Should be a good one.

What a gutsy win by the Colts and an amazing effort by Manning. Almost like the Flames season, even with a winning record there's been so much turmoil and so many questions around this team, and yet the Colts lead the AFC South now.

Late to the party but pitiful from the Seahawks. Caught only the first quarter while on the coast, but checked scores...10-0 in the second quarter, and I knew it was over.
Does anyone know where "comebacks when trailing" stats are? Because I swear I haven't seen one from Hasslebeck (the team had one earlier this year vs SD, but those were kickoff returns) since going to the Superbowl.
Seriously. Sound like a broken record about this, but the guy is not a leader that any teams rally around.
For Carroll, who talks about competition at every position, you can't tell me not putting in Whitehurst when this game was out of reach and, as Hasslebeck claims after the fact, that he had a "small concussion" (oh oh, hear come the injury excuses again), wasn't part of that. Hasselbeck has looked average in his wins, and stunk in losses, barely moving the ball down field in the second half. Give the backup some reps, because Carroll tying his wagon to Hasslebeck much past this year or next, will get him in big trouble.

What a gong show Childress has turned the Vikings into. The owner is mad at him for releasing Moss without consultation, other coaches are fearing for their jobs, and the players have to be wondering if the guy has any clue as to what he is doing....all on top of criticizing his QB publicly last week.
Its so odd too because the guy seems real cerebral about things...but apparently not so much.
Quote:
Childress hadn't first told owner Zygi Wilf that he was going to jettison a guy the Vikings had acquired less than a month ago for a third-round pick from New England. Wilf was extremely upset, according to NFL sources and other reports, and he had good reason to be mad.
Obviously, Childress didn't want any push back from Wilf or others in the front office and so he decided to go forward with the plan to place Moss on waivers. The old act first, ask questions later. That's a move, however, that could cost Childress his job and definitely puts him on a very hot seat. The Vikings 2-5 start doesn't help matters and neither does the icy relationship between Childress and quarterback Brett Favre.
There are some of the Vikings coaching staff who are concerned this actually might be their last week of work. Because of Childress' attempt to get rid of Moss on his own, he was not placed on waivers by the 3 p.m. deadline Monday. The Vikings did issue a release from Childress on Monday night confirming the sides will be parting.

Childress has got to go. We've been saying it for so long now I don't understand why the owner doesn't. Say goodbye to Childress and promote Frazier for the rest of the year. I'd love to see Tony Dungy come in and run the operation.
