Chiefs win and are 5-2! They are running away with the division (actually Oakland can get their 4th win today so maybe not).

Congrats on the win total so far but there are at least 20 teams than them in the NFl this season.
If the Chargers keep givng games away some team in the AFC is going to get a gift play-off match-up.
|
The Chargers aren't any better than the Chiefs. They are the biggest fraud in the NFL and have been for the last 5 years.

Overstated.
They are not a terrible football team. They're likely not as good as other 5-2 football teams, but they're at least an average football team in this years NFL. Fortunate to win today for sure, but they should have beat the Texans so this evens that out.

Grossman fumbled it, McNabb was on the sidelines. McNabb has been bad, but he's still better than Grossman at his best.

Their offense is terrible, their defense is average and although they have some exciting returners overall their special teams are nothing to write home about.
They have a 5-2 record because of a weak schedule and insane luck. With an average schedule the team is at best 2-5.

They have one of the best punters in the NFL. Succop has been outstanding since day 1. I am not sure how a team that averages over 5 yards pers carry running the football can have their offense placed in the terrible category.
You are the king of hyperbole, man.

From a fan outside of the division the Chargers have loads of talent however have poor management and poor coaching. If they ever had gotten steered in the right direction that team could have been great

So Childress chooses not to challenge last week on the TD by GB that shouldn't have counted, and he challenges this play which is OBVIOUSLY a complete pass?
WOW.

Miami with another win today on the road. They are now 4-3. They've had a schedule from hell to start the season and it continues next week as they travel to Baltimore.
As per the Jets thank god they lost a huge help to Miami, now the vikes need to win!

Because the 5 yards a carry will go way down when the face real football teams and the fact that they pass offense is so terrible, not just bad but awful, brings any positive they get from the running game way down.
I disagree on Succop he is okay but not outstanding.

Where's all this talent?
They have a great QB, a great TE and what else exactly?
Their OL is awful and their defense has steadily regressed year after year.
That ain't all coaching.

Insane luck? When was that? They've had a favorable schedule, that much is true. But it's not like they got lit up for a 30 point loss in Indy, that was a 10 point loss in a game where Dwayne Bowe dropped a sure TD. Tampa Bay for example is a much worse team in my opinion and they could also be 5-2 after today.
I'll admit that the Lions are probably as good as the Chiefs, but they've had a pretty tough schedule so far, and unfortunately for them, it doesn't get any better.

Succop is 85% in his career.
They definitely need some help in the passing game, but it's not like we're talking about a team with their window of opportunity closing.

Insane luck in the Chargers game on opening day. That game sticks out for me so I probably overstated the luck in terms of the overall season.
Either way as we saw with the Broncos last season these things usually even out over the season and i think the Chiefs will take a big fall by the end of the year because the team is not based on talent or playing good football.

I thought the '08 Saints/Chargers game at Wembley was a great game. Was offensive, went down to the wire and both Brees and Rivers threw for over 330 yards each, and LT had a 100 yard game on the ground. But ya over-all they've been pretty bad games. They need to get some marquee names over there (Manning, Brady, etc).

How was there insane luck in the Chargers game? They pushed the Chargers around and punched them in the mouth repeatedly.

What a surprise, the uber talented Chargers are down by two scores at home again.

Which is excellent news for those of us who have Phil Rivers in fantasy.
